I am thinking undertaker.
People see doctors, lawyers, ministers etc.
but "*everyone* will lay with him" points to inevitable things like death and taxes.
It could also be death, but this would fit better with "He who seeks him needs him."
If lay points to lay people in a church, it could also be something like minister, but then the turn of phrase would not be very good. |

Mod said to bold it. But he said that was just preference.
I suppose we could just make a post just of bold words. Like, copy and paste a list from the dictionary, sans definitions. ...Would that be discounted? |

undertaker is the answer
The hint is this:
All members of the mafia have no less than two different vowels in each of their names.
An update:
All of the keys on the keyboard had gathered around, truly one of them was about to be touched for the last time. Or maybe not so...however, when little timmy hunt and peck tried to take a whack at typing his report, he noticed something. To his shock, one of the keys had gone missing, he had not necessarily gone completely out of existence, yet still, something was amiss.
Irgy has been captured, as a result, his vote in this choiceblock is now nullified, he will be released in the time of three days from this post. He may still post however.
The keyboard shook, truly this was no time for scrolling or putting things in lock, it was a time for war.
With 15 alive, yet only 14 able to vote, it will still take 8 to lynch. (4 at deadline). |

Wow, so that clears about four people of the people here: mps1453, Ctorj, bbbbbbbba, and esme. Missing anyone?

Gosh, captured, that's a bit exciting. I might as well unvote then just to remind myself. If that's three physical real life days then I'm probably going to get a vote in this choice block anyway at the rate we're going
I'm not really very convinced by 'undertaker' as the solution but I'm not going to complain. I'm happy with the hint too, it's a lot more helpful than I'd have expected.
I would have said it clears me as well - I mean I guess there is a bit of ambiguity with the whole substitute-vowel business going on with the 'y', but I would say TGC would be putting himself in serious danger of some fairly valid complaints if he gave that as the hint in a game where I was one of the mafia.
If you read it carefully, it also clears:
Green Crayons
Ms Lovett (arguably - if 'Ms' counts as one of her names)
Maybe even Wall-E, although I'd say on balance the hyphen makes it one name and puts him back in the running. |

I agree with the most literal interpretation of the rule. I will keep myself in the suspects list (despite being town woo) to keep things fair and maintain credibility.
The suspect list is:
isauteisika
thedragon'sprincess
MNOWAX
raekuul
Leonidas
jayfin3
Irgy - May not vote in the time of three days.
Wall-E
Undercover Monk
I vote we limit our bandwagon for D1 to the above list. Agreed? _________________ Don't read what I'm typing! |

Irgy- Yeah, the first time I read the hint I didn't interpret it that way, but I see what you mean. But that means that you are also forgetting Undercover Monk as well.
Yeah, I wasn't too sure about "undertaker" either, but I can see how that would work. I'm not complaining, this hint was definitely VERY helpful! |

Ahh yes you're right about Mr Monk too Ms Lovett, I think I just saw too many vowels in his first name and moved on.
So, following Wall-E's example, I'd say that leaves us with just six serious candidates:
isauteisika
thedragon'sprincess
MNOWAX
raekuul
Leonidas
jayfin3
And three unlikely but still theoretically plausible possibilities:
Wall-E
Ms. Lovett
Irgy
There could also I suppose be a serial killer or some other sorts of anti-town non-mafia hiding among the vowel-deprived though.
That's pretty good odds though all in all. If I could vote, I'd still stick to the vote-for-a-non-participator policy which, now that raekuul's joined in and made a post leaves just Leonidas. |

"What is the battle plan, great sire?" said the replacing Aide de Camp, while Leonidas was off somewhere, getting hopped up on baguettes most likely.
"We are not quite sure yet, young intern," replied a random general, with a brittle, grey moustache, "while we are assured it will be quite magnifique, there are a few certain lynchings to do as our council seems to be infiltrated with the most vile of traitors."
The generals and marshalls had begun to walk back into the council room, however, once they had heard a small ticking sound, they began to worry. One marshall in particular, had pried up the floorboards, and held out a bomb. isauteisika had gulped his final gulp as he saw the bomb go off.
BOOM! isatiesika has been killed.-he will remain killed until reality changes.

Isau was only the fourth person to jump on that one. And even if isau had started the bandwagon, wouldn't it put more suspicion on Leo that he died mysteriously rather than isau himself? And the mod STILL has not answered my question, so I'm gonna Unvote, Vote: raekuul to see what happens. |

He did vote for me, but this explosion thing isn't anything I did, and the vote for leo doesn't stand out. Perhaps it's a power he has and he's playing dumb, or perhaps it's like flavor for a jailer role... it did say "possibly temporarily," which I happen to believe has significance somehow.

It is totally obvious that he stepped on a land-mine, read the mod's post again. Which means that I will indeed not worry about it until the second choiceblock. But "It could be a lot of things." makes you slightly suspicious of being the bomber in my opinion.
The "reality change" points to the time travel mafias. For example, someone could have the power to travel back to the beginning and kill the bomber, then isau would be alive again. |
