Newb is in. By the way, since I've never played before, I plan just to follow Loki's lead, and do whatever he tells me to do at all times. Enthusiastic Grin

I think it's like a cross between Animal Farm and Elric of Melniboné.

Saying that Redwall drew from Animal Farm is an insult to Animal Farm.

Let's see: Animal Farm is a brilliant satire that uses anthropomorphic animals as an allegory for the Russian revolution, pointing out its hypocrisy, exploitation, and corruption more effectively than any simple history ever could.

Redwall is a fun but basically vacuous fantasy that also uses anthropomorphic animals instead of humans, elves, dwarves, etc. You could call it the Shannara universe with fur.

Gotta go with raekuul on this one.

(Oh crap. I've already violated my basic principle I posted above.)

Why would you follow a man who claims to be Loki?

Because this is exactly when Loki would be honest about stuff. Why would you have to act like a trickster god when the puny humans are already trying to out-Vizzini each other? All you'd need to do is not get caught in the crossfire.

Zag: I'm not sure, but I think you just insulted the Shannara universe... it's hard to say that Redwall is like something without insulting it. And this is coming from a fan!

At first I was ready to defend one of my fave book series but, your right in a way. Redwall is just fun. Its formulaic, but fun. Its silly, but fun. It contains no hidden message or air of self-importance it is simply meant to be a series to read and smile and even have a few laughs.

It is no way even comparable to Animal Farm, but then it never tried to be.

In other news sign-ups continue at a blistering pace keep it up folks and we may yet attain mafia greatness. Extreme Delectation

I need at least one replacement for Escaped Convict I may need 2 more so if any players out there would like to play just give me a holler. Also sAbLLimINal since you were a regular townie you can come back in if you would like another shot.

Seriously, what is it that so hard about about logging in for 5 minutes once a day, if you've agreed to play a game where other people will likely be waiting for you?

Actually, I think that Loki has had major computer problems -- I hope it isn't something worse. He's usually pretty regular, but he's gone dark altogether.

I did what townies were supposed to do, lay low and let the power roles figure it out, using myself as a pawn to help out the town. And exactly how am I being the only person blamed for people "waiting" on me when you got people like EC who hadn't even posted for 9 days! If you always "kill the lurker" why did you not kill him that day?

Seriously, I don't know what your strategy is, other than bandwagoning.

sab, my note wasn't aimed at you. Sorry if it seemed that way. It was aimed at EC, whose last post was on June 12, when he said

Quote:
I've lost track of this game, sorry!

I'll try to follow from now on.

and cm, whose last post was May 27

yes to Sab and maybe to poison I think a buddy of mine may volunteer to replace. Also if you did replace you would obviously be prohibited from giving away anything you and your partner talked about on Night 1 and you would definately not come back till your partner dies.
