not necessarily..... that could very easily mean that the with people lurking, the scum have an excuse to point a finger at someone and make an innocent look guilty... I think that the scum's statement at this early stage of the game is a null tell especially since so few people are 100% participating |

I'm with princess on this one, lurking to the best of my knowledge never helps the town determine anything. So the scum's statement of linking inactivity to scumminess is not really earth-shattering Wall-E.
Unless you were being sarcastic, in which case I guess you already knew that.
The only players yet to post are Irgy and Undercover Monk. UM hasn't posted anywhere since April 2nd, the day the game began. Irgy hasn't posted anywhere since April 2nd either, though he seems to only log in less than once a month lately. He may not even know we've begun, which puts us in a situation where we may lynch an accidentally lurking townie. The same may be true of UM, but he's been on regularly up until this past week, which I find a tad more suspicious.

| What's the downside of lynching a lurking townie? We need to generate votes to get rid of mafia, and a lurking townie generates zero votes while increasing the number of votes required to lynch. Irgy may be a mafia, Irgy may be a non-participating townie, but either way we're better off with Irgy lynched. |

I understand. I'm voting for UM because I think he's more likely to be purposely lurking and he'll see that he's near being lynched soon. This will get us information. Irgy seems more likely to get replaced before we even get seven votes on him.
Even saying that, both of them need to feel the heat in the hopes that it'll coax them into posting, so I don't see the need for either of us to change our vote until we're fully ready to lynch somebody. |

For starters I voted for you just as a random vote at the start of the game I had no motivation for the vote just wanted to get involved in the game. Secondly I read everything today and until came to your post I was planning on unvoting you but the fact that you voted for me just cause I voted you seems scummy. But I will still UNVOTE for now anyways and also agree we should place a fos irgy for still not posting

also, what does a past game have to do with the current game we're in? why would I hold a grudge against you based on another game? that is just silly. and the fact that an experienced player like yourself said it just raised a flag for me.

No I was trying to say something srcastic and unmeaningful about all you guys who are trying to make serious rational votes on pages 1 and 2. Most of these votes will be lurker votes and random votes. Why can't I have a little fun. The only complaint that I was semi-serious about was Snicklacs. But thats more of an FOS or IGMEOY than vote worthy. So Unvote Vote: Escaped Convict for jumping on an obviously good humored post and taking the first day way too seriously. We haven't even had a riddle yet!
Oh and to Raekuul, I was just kidding dude wasn't really suspicious of any one at the time and I just like to mess with Wall-e. Holding grudges is what I do just ask Amb. Though I think im gonna start holding a grudge against EC so you may be off the hook Wall-E.

I was only "trying as hard" as several others were at the time, I just chose UM over Irgy to put my vote on. Now he's surfaced and I'll unvote vote Irgy.
I can understand your suspicion as it is the only argument I've provided for pretty much anything. However it's still early and posting has only just started in earnest, so hopefully I'll be able to contribute more critically. |

This game is following the same format of the last KHAV mafia game, so that Scum post is most likely from the mafia in our current game. In fact, they probably have some rules they must follow, such as "You must post at least twice during each daytime turn, you must include the letters in the names of all surviving mafia members, and you must include numbers that add up to the number of letters in their names." |

I think we're ok now with 3 for irgy, cause at -4 the mafia can't swoop in all at once with a hammer, as obvious a play as it would be.
Also: LOL at scum not being able to count the total number of votes correctly. Unless that's some sort of random hint, but I don't think these count as the riddles cause we already got the clue (3 mafia members) right? |

Hmm, maybe. I'm still reluctant to trust anything from the scum account. Why Poisonium specifically though? Undercover Monk and myself both fall under the category of having had one vote at the time of the scum post. (Not that I'm suggesting you vote for me :X) Is Poisonium more suspicious to you for any reason, or did you just pick one? |

Well, if anyone, Raekuul and Undercover Monk are good at looking town, even if they aren't (but I don't remember playing a game were either was scum, so they may be painfully obvious if they are. Oh well). I do like your perspective of the puzzle though Wall-E.
