Wow, that was certainly...forward.

I just don't understand why you would claim so early. No pressure was being put on you, so if you were scum you didn't need to try to clear your name with a lucky claim. If you're town, you may be signing your death warrant just to get one investigation. I've only played a few small games of mafia, but I'm not sure if losing a strong role early on is worth having only one piece of info.

I really can't tell if you just made an risky pro-town choice or a unprovoked scummy one.

Also, what is a framer?

Obscure role mostly known from chat mafia. I don't think it has been used on GL ever (correct me if I'm wrong). A normal mafia, except he has the ability to target someone each night. If that person is investigated by the cop, the result shows up "guilty" (if the cop is sane, of course). A slightly more cruel variation of weird sanities.

I think you're being too harsh with raekuul. There's crap-all discussion going on, everybody's looking for a tidbit of useful information, and raekuul has at least given us some glimmer of direction. The lover is typically one of a pair where if one dies, the other one dies as well. Problems are: 1: We don't know if he's a scum or not, and 2: We don't know who the other member is and 3: It could be a big steaming pile of bullcrap in an attempt to make us not kill someone.

The biggest problem with throwing in a Lover is that it is a partial role, not a full role. For example we could have Lovers that double as a Doc and a Miller, or a Rumor-monger and a Vigilante, or a Cop and a Mafioso...
