This week's AC matchup between Tally and IS is also the only GL matchup involving two 6-4 teams...

We also have jester (top of the 6-4 teams) vs. Sam (bottom of the 5-5 teams), UM (bottom of the 6-4 teams) vs. L'l (top of the 5-5 teams)... and of course I have an epic grudge match with dethy.

Meanwhile, Aga is quietly sneaking up on us, with a three game win streak and his bye this week.

Bastards! One of you bitches tried to put the hex on me by making Ronnie Brown and Michael Turner get hurt on the same week.

But no matter, I may have to scramble now and pick up scrubs every week for the rest of the season, but im making you scumbags PAY!

Feeling a lot better about my playoff chances now! In fact, it's looking like I'm going to jump to 5th after this week... we'll have seven teams at 6-5. There's enough games between us that 8-5 should secure a playoff spot, and 7-6 with a high point total might have a chance...

And I finally won an ugly one.

Looks like the entire AC group will be at 7-5, along with the winner of L'l/Aga (Aga up 15, L'l projected for 17 tomorrow). L'l wouldn't be out of it with a loss, given his point total and his matchup against me next week (he'd just need a little help); an L'l win this week would pretty much eliminate everyone at 6-6, though.

I tried to wheel and deal the best hand possible over the last few weeks, and nearly came up with a spiffing run of wins, but my picking let me down this week as I went with the wrong running lumps.
Since it looks very likely that I'm gonna be out of the chace after this game I shall bid the top 6 all the luck in the playoffs.

It's been yet another fun packed year.

I don't think l'lanmal will win though.

Next week's matchup between Thok and Tally should prove interesting...
If Gravesend plays by the rules (By which I mean loses to me Revenge most foul! ) that should give me at least a bye week the first round.

Well with Matt Ryans injury that basically officialy knocks me out but the fact that I did as well as I did with missing the draft, bodes well for next year and the Colts are still perfect so woo-hoo! Good Luck to all you playoff contenders.

MS Week 12: Tally (98) d. Pooky (62)

Next:
MS Week 13: mith vs. Tally
MS Week 13: IS vs. Pooky

Whew. Moss had me worried, but he and Meachem did enough.

With the win over IS, I have a two game lead with two to play and 100+ points over all the potential wild card challengers, so I have basically clinched; Tally is in as well, and Pooky is eliminated from even the Consolation bracket, so a mith-Tally matchup is the only potential playoff matchup in Scumleague...

Over here, however, we're all going to be 7-5, and if I can beat recent nemesis L'l, we might all make the playoffs - if that happens, we'd have four AC matchups week 14. There will almost certainly be at least one first round GL playoff matchup in the AC, unless there is some huge swing in point totals somewhere.

If I can knock off Tally this week, I'll have a little breathing room, but a potential Scumleague playoff matchup may decide things.

Grumble, grumble, grumble.

At least I've cliched a playoff spot (and I'd need to have a really bad week to not get a bye, which is good since DeSean Jackson got a concussion and I need for him to recover.)

I have been there as well, and it sucks.. Looks like you and me are good for the bye week, unless I lose by about 40 points...
*edit.. I hope that my gamble on picking up Brian Westbrook is going to pay off in the playoffs as well The bye week will give him another week to recover too.

Of the seven highest scores put up this season:

1st highest was by jester... against the 6th highest, by Pooky.
2nd highest was by Thok... against the 3rd highest, by Pooky. (Ouch)
4th highest was this past week by SS... against the second highest of the week, Thok.

And two were against The Dead Parrots... though Tally and I can't consider those completely wasted, since the last playoff spots may come down to total points... and at least I wasn't facing Thok or Pooky that week!

Even an IS loss may not help me now; SS is ahead on total points.

I need either:

Ray Rice and Crosby to outscore Peterson and Jennings by 13

Or:

Breaston to outscore Sidney Rice by 15 AND Ray Rice and Crosby to outscore Favre and Packers D by 10.

At least Peterson didn't put it out of reach tonight... A good game from Rice could get me there...

The silver lining as far as missing the playoffs goes is that it may help me in the AC; I'm beating Tally this week, and if I drop out of the playoffs here I would only need to beat Pooky next week to clinch the AC title.

Favre's annoying garbage time touchdown just now makes it likely I am going to lose in the local league, and will need a win next week. Pah. Going to make the playoffs in Scumleague and BGGleague, and all three auctions.

Adventurer's Cup Standings

mith (6-2)
Tally (4-4)
IS (3-5)
Pooky (3-5)

Results:
GL Week 2: mith (102) d. IS (94)
MS Week 2: mith (116) d. IS (86)
MS Week 2: Tally (66) d. Pooky (63)
GL Week 3: Pooky (75) d. mith (73)
GL Week 4: IS (91) d. Pooky (72)
MS Week 4: IS (102) d. Tally (67)
MS Week 6: Tally (102) d. mith (99)
MS Week 7: mith (114) d. Pooky (86)
MS Week 9: IS (104) d. Pooky (42)
GL Week 10: mith (87) d. Tally (74)
GL Week 11: Tally (97) d. IS (86)
GL Week 12: Pooky (73) d. Tally (69)
MS Week 12: mith (100) d. IS (93)
MS Week 12: Tally (98) d. Pooky (62)
MS Week 13: mith (100) d. Tally (64)
MS Week 13: Pooky (75) d. IS (67)

Next:
GL Week 14: Tally vs. IS
MS Week 14: mith vs. Pooky
MS Week 14: IS vs. Tally

My climb back up the GL standings has met a tragic end, but that means not AC games in the GL for me...

Tally has a maximum of four AC games remaining; if I beat Pooky this week in Scumleague, or if Tally loses either of her games, I clinch my second AC title. If all three games this week go her way, we will meet in the first round of the Scumleague playoffs. (I would still have a chance if she won that too; I would need Pooky over Tally for the GL final. But hopefully it won't come to that.)

GL Week 14: Tally (80) d. IS (66)
MS Week 14: mith (147) d. Pooky (47)
MS Week 14: IS (93) d. Tally (86)

Next:

GL Week 15: IS vs. Pooky

Tally is in good shape to make up the 10 points in the GL matchup, and IS has a decent shot of overturning the Scumleague result... but with my win over Pooky, I've got the AC title wrapped up.

Tally and I will face each other next week in the Scumleague playoffs, unless MoS fails to score 18 with 4 players tonight (in which case I get the 1 seed and Tally plays MoS in round 1).

[edit]Tally and IS split their matches, and MoS failed to get 18 in Arizona's miserable performance last night, so Tally and I won't meet until the Scumleague final or 3rd place game, if we both win or both lose this week.[/edit]

Just for amusement, Dead Parrots had a fairly exciting 0 last week.

All of its players (including those on the bench) scored 0, but that includes the QB having 157 yards, 1 TD, and 5 interceptions.

I thought it was amusing that in the Scumleague series scored the fourth highest total points , only to be negated by the second highest total points against, placing me firmly in the back of the pack.
That means pretty much everyone played their best game of the season against me. Dispirited

I don't know, Tynes staying within three of Campbell isn't *that* far fetched.

(Scumleague 1 will be mith vs. Tally, unless Nicks and Jacobs combine for 50... the two of us have combined for four of the five titles since we started the league.)

I don't know about that... 10 points for a kicker is a lot, while 13 for a QB is not anything special. I wonder what the tie breaker procedure is, head-to-head result I presume.

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock will be broken using the following system:

1. Most touchdowns scored by entire starting roster.
2. Most fantasy points by starting quarterback(s).
3. Most fantasy points by starting defensive team(s).
4. Most fantasy points by starting defensive player(s).
5. Most fantasy points by starting defensive back(s).
6. Most fantasy points by starting defensive linemen.
7. Most fantasy points by starting wide receiver(s).
8. Most fantasy points by starting running back(s).
9. Most fantasy points by starting tight end(s).
10. Most fantasy points by starting kicker(s).

At the moment, you have two TDs, Tally has three, so it depends on Campbell.

10 isn't a huge number for a kicker; Tynes is averaging 9 for the season. And 13 for a QB may not be anything special, but a few good QBs have scored less than that this week (Brees, Favre, Brady).

(Part of this is wishful thinking on my part - a big game from Tynes would help two of my teams. Cannibal Apart from that, though, I hope you win; you haven't won the league yet, Thok and Tally have.)
