I've gone and registered for the league, making it 12. Hopefully nobody finds that presumptious of me.
Obviously, I'll be rewarded by drafting 7th. |

Sent, with instructions...
The schedule I set up for Scumleague (and what Tally will be setting up here) is such that everyone plays everyone once during the first 11 weeks, and then weeks 12-14 are a second divisional game. Additionally, I set up week 2 as a "rivalry" week, which are all divisional games and which I've set up so that pairings made the most sense as rivalry games (me vs. IS is the long-running grudge match, for example).
Tally can set up the divisions/rivalries however she likes (or leave them as they are), but if you want to give your input on how they should be done, you might want to do so before she puts the schedule in.
The divisional setup was pretty obvious for Scumleague this year (the Adventurers division for the AC participants, the Veterans division for returning league 1 players, and the New Blood division for those from last year's league 2). I don't think there's anything so obvious here, but maybe someone can suggest something sensible and fun (if not, random is cool).
One suggestion would be to pair up with a rival in the thread, then have Tally place two pairs of rivals in each division and go with that. (If so... you're going down, dethy.) |

I'm sort of the Seattle Seahawks of GL league: any division I'm going into will not be decided by my long rivalry with whomever, but by what's convenient after everything else is decided.
Unless you want me to start making fun of Samadhi or something on a regular basis. |

Chad, however, is fair game. |

Draft here is 29th, isn't it?
I'm now starting to fill my schedule... so if there's any last minute moving of the draft time, I've got Scumleague drafts this Friday and Saturday, I'm going to be out of town the weekend of the 22nd, and I'll be drafting the local league at 10am on the 29th. Also have a draft on the 5th, if it gets moved later.
Fine with the current time, though.
Anyone else want to join so Aga can play? 14 is a good number too (13 week single round robin, with a 6, 7, or 8 team playoff). We had 14 one year here, didn't we? |

Just over a week til draft day. Are people still content with the day and time?
What shall we do about the numbers? Would it be so bad to have 13 and use bye weeks, or should we drag Lepton in? Any other ideas? |

| Could put in a dummy team and have it draft a bunch of IR/otherwise useless players, to act as a bye. I've got a spare Yahoo account that could be used for that. |

Heh...
If we have 14, we won't have divisions (everyone will play everyone else once - 13 weeks - and then 3 weeks of playoffs). |

As with most playoff systems, the point isn't necessarily to determine the best team - it's to determine the winner of a tournament between to top X teams at the end of the year.
(Besides, it's easy to think of ways to determine who the "best" team is after a single round robin of fantasy football, and best head-to-head record is probably one of the more flawed.)
Tally, I joined with my dummy account; you'll need to update the league settings to get rid of divisions, set us on a 13 week regular season, and set the playoffs. (You could do up to 8... my preference would be 6, to make the regular season matter more and to give an incentive for finishing top 2.) |

Here's the pre-set rankings for The Dead Parrots (though I'll probably open up IE to draft for them just to make sure the autopicker doesn't screw anything up):
1. Javon Ringer
2. J.D. Runnels
3. Lance Leggett
4. Michael Bumpus
5. David Clowney
6. Keith Zinger
7. David Buehler
8. Detroit (does anyone want them?)
9. Keith Null
10. Tyler Palko
11. Billy Latsko
12. Dan Klecko
13. Craphonso Thorpe
14. Donte' Stallworth (suspended for season)
15. John Nalbone
Let me know if:
a. You want one of these quality players (in which case I'll replace them)
OR
b. I missed any funny names. |

As of September 1, I will have a team I will be fine with.
Or maybe I'll be Rein with it.
Just two questions: Is everyone expecting Chris Henry to get in trouble again?
And did anyone actually draft Ocho Stinko? |

So Brees has 9 TDs in his first 2 games and I'm 0-2. Including a loss to someone missing TWO of their starters.
Do I suck at this "fantasy" gig or what? |
