Wow, Tally really took it out on the poor Dead Parrots.
AC Update:
I've got a pretty comfortable lead on IS in our Scumleague matchup (Chris Johnson, woo), but I'm only 19 up here and he's got a definite advantage tonight so it could go either way. The Tally-Pooky Scumleague matchup is even closer; Tally is up 5 but is done, and Pooky picked up Davonne Bess to replace the injured Anthony Gonzalez. (Tally forgot to set her lineup, or she would probably be winning easily, as she still had McNabb starting.) |

Adventurer's Cup Standings
mith (2-0)
Tally (1-0)
Pooky (0-1)
IS (0-2)
Results:
GL Week 2: mith (102) d. IS (94)
MS Week 2: mith (116) d. IS (86)
MS Week 2: Tally (66) d. Pooky (63)
Next:
GL Week 3: mith vs. Pooky
GL Week 4: IS vs. Pooky
MS Week 4: IS vs. Tally
IS's players tonight outperformed their projections... but so did Dallas Clark. I thought I was safe even after the game winning Indy TD, since surely Miami would have to pass, right? But then they come out running Brown the first two plays. Fortunately, he didn't get anywhere... would've been IS-curse worthy for him to break off a 80 yard TD.
I am 1-1 in all of my leagues (other than the AC, of course). Hooray for average.

Sigh. Welker didn't play, and I wasn't on to sub him out. Should've played it safe and swapped him out earlier.
Tally takes over the early AC lead, and she's currently 3-0 and in first in both the GL and mafiascum leagues. She's got IS in Scumleague and a 1 vs 2 matchup here... |

IS gives Tally her first loss in either league... I'll take the lead on points for now, but more significantly of the four 3-1 records in the league, three of us are in the Adventurers division.
No AC matchups this week... no looking ahead though, Tally's up against the other 3-1 team, and I'm up against the new points leader.
In other news, The Dead Parrots were only 40 points away from their first win of the season... |

Well, at least the bye week will get me back to .500 next week. Pah.
In AC-related news, I'm crushing Pooky in Scumleague Auction, but I won't count it toward the AC. Tally defeated MoS this week and will probably reclaim the top spot (IS would need a lot of points to overtake her, she's definitely passing me even if I hold on to win my game). Depending on how tonight goes, we could have three 4-1 teams in our division and none in the rest of the league. My AC matchup with Tally will be big no matter what happens tonight. |

I lost to a guy who had 3 non scoring players.. yikes! |

I think after this week, "Thok's Opponents" will be the highest scoring team in the MS league by a decent margin. There will be 12 scores over 100 in our league, and three of them will be against me.
With my luck, Dead Parrots will score 15 points on me. |

Hey, the Titans did just bring in Javon Ringer. It's possible that he could have a 200 yard 5 TD day in the second half. |

| Down 24 to Tally in our Scumleague/AC matchup... I have Marshall, Prater, and Broncos D/ST tonight (and Yahoo is projecting 23 for them...). If I lose by 1, Nate Washington's epic -22 yard reception is to blame. |

Ugh, my bye week pickups were brutal this week. Hill got benched, and Oakland got a negative.
At least I put up a big number against Pooky (though he still has several players left, so he could still come back). |

Halfway through the regular season, and no one running away with things or out of it in any of the private leagues this year. No one better than 5-2, no one worse than 2-5 (with the obvious Dead Parrots exception). As usual, my worst placement is here in the GL league... not a bad point total, just need to string together some wins. If my current trend continues, I should have a 100+ this week... more likely, my team will decide that this is the week the break the trend and they'll give me another poor performance. |

Sigh. Obviously just not my year here. I may need to win out to make the playoffs, and I'll have to finish 4-1 to even have a chance.
Having a good year elsewhere, though. My yahoo page is full of 1s today, and they only make an 11 for this league. |

Finally give up on Garrard, and he puts up a respectable 16. Meanwhile, Flacco throws for 0 TDs and 2 picks. Sigh.
At least Rice and Williams continue to be awesome. (Except I can't be too happy about that this week, because my opponent in the local league has those two, in addition to Warner. Why couldn't Warner have had his 5 interception game this week? ) |

At least I got the win. We can build on this!
And in the local league, I am somehow still ahead, though my opponent has two going tonight... if the Yahoo projections hold (which they won't), I would eek out a 1 point win. Chris Johnson keeps carrying that team (and my Scumleague team). |

Tally gets started on her GL-AC matchups next week, and it's a very important one for me given my current position in the GL standings. Given the Scumleague divisional schedule, the AC is likely still going to be up for grabs late into the season.
In Scumleague, Tally and IS both won, putting them at 6-3 and 2-1 in the division. Only two of us can make the playoffs, though we'll have the three best records after this week if I can hold off MoS (currently up 9, Marshall for me, Steelers D for him). |

| I don't think I have made a single correct decision with QBs this entire season, in any of my leagues. If I had stuck with Garrard, I wouldn't have to sweat out the possibility of some disaster striking tomorrow night. Surely Flacco and Rice can get 9 between them. If not... well, it's clearly not meant to be in the GL this year. |

I'm having a huge week in Scumleague to retake the overall lead, and Tally is winning big as well, but IS lost a close one to fall a game behind. Pooky is in trouble this week, and if that result stands he'll be 3.5 back with 4 to play... still potential for a consolation AC matchup though. |
