This really shouldn't matter to me as much as it does.

In related news, the NSA lost funding from Hasbro, so they moved their tournament and club responsibility to NASPA, and I doubt they'll change the competitive rules just because hasbro wants young people to buy board games.

I could play all of my tiles every turn just by starting a new company.

It looks like another example of dumbing things down instead of educating.

While I have never found enjoyment in that game, I am rather disappointed to see that happen.

Mattel said there would be no hard and fast rule over whether a proper noun was correct or not.

The phrase "Let's play Global Thermonuclear War" springs to mind. But then I'm probably a little too competitive. Wink

They could play Google Scrabble. Any string of letters that gets at least one hit when Googled is a legal word.

Surely everyone plays by rules set by consensus anyway. Just because Mattel change their name doesn't meant that I would change how i play it. Or does it mean when you play with the pink board you have to use different rules.

It does raise a question about points for letters. There will be a lot more chances to use a 'Q' without a 'U' making it easier to use, will it still warrant a 10?

Having said that, in the US there are more - opportunities to use the 'Z' than in the 'UK' does it still score 10 over there?

The Z scores 10 here, plus, you're allowed to turn an N sideways and use it as a Z, but that only counts 5.

Does it also work the other way around?
