What do you want? The good news or the bad news?

SInce no-one answered in time, ill give the good news.

I have a new job. I will finally be leaving home, and beginning a life separate from Mum and Dad.

The bad news: The modem on my computer belongs to my dad. I will be going off line as of next week, and until I have a permanent place to stay, I will have to remain off line.

This then is the grand finale for Amb on the Grey Labyrinth. I have enjoyed my time, and your guys wonderful sense of humour. But things happen, so this is Amb signing out.

I will be around for one more week, reading and posting occasionally, so I will keep up to date with you all for a bit longer.

Thanks guys for all that. In answer to your query Quailman, I about about to become a database administrator and programmer for a legal firm. I dont know much about the job as yet, and will learn in less than two weeks exactly what I will be doing.

Well, amb. I agree that you will one day be crawling back to us. The good thing about the GL is that all you need is I-access somewhere, somehow and you can pop right on and post. But until that day, I must say you've been a good friend (as well as one of the few people who ever responded to my puzzles) and you will be missed. The irony of this thread is that it was all bad news. I was 19 or so, moving out of home to chase a career. Turned out to be a very bad job, where in the 2.5 years I was there I could count around 30-35 staff changes. Thing is, at it's peak, there were 8 staff. Most of the changes were because of the boss. He was a total jerk. I'd better not say where the job was now.
