I set up a group on Yahoo for the world cup if anyone cares to put in some predictions..
LinkiePoo

If that doesn't work, the group name is GL_Soccer, the Group ID# 7182 (You use this to join apparently)
the password is GLCUP (yes in caps)

We know it will end with one cup.. all I need is two girls to join Extreme Delectation

Unfortunately, I'm afraid Holland will get knocked out again by Brasil, in the quarter finals..
Here's the statistical proof.

Sadly, Sweden will not be at the World Cup. They finished behind Denmark and Portugal in their group, and didn't qualify. Definitely a step down

I'm still hoping that Brazil ends up second in a tough group (Go Portugal?) and that Holland makes it all the way to the finals. Holland vs Argentina in the final...

One can dream!

I did Revenge most foul! Remember we do have an international quality rugby team, and they know (supposedly) how to win on international stages. So they would have been able to help.

I know that from my desk (in the UK) I can watch BBC covered matches at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/

Matches not covered by the BBC have a '5 live' radio commentary in lieu.

This service may not be accessible outside the UK. Haven't checked itv.com to see if they show their matches online.

CBC.com if you are in Canada. ESPN also live streams I'm told, but I haven't checked that out. I just follow the commentary at work Dispirited

Yeah, though we played so poorly in the first half that we didn't really deserve it.

I was watching the game and was on IM with a co-worker discussing a bug and I happened to mention that USA was losing 2-1 and playing poorly. Not 10 seconds later, we scored to tie it up. I was pretty sure my actions caused it. Extreme Delectation

The Canadian commentators have big crushes on the US team. It's really quite sickening. Anyway, I don't understand the fury: the referee called the play dead before the kick.

Conspicuous things: Australian strikers getting red cards. Horrific free kicks and crossing in general. European sides with poor tactics and Latin American sides with fine tactics.

Excellent match reviews, focusing on the tactical side of things, at zonalmarking.net.

Group D is tense. Australia can still advance. They need any ghana win or a big germany win. Right now, they've got the worst case, a small german win.

But still time...

Well, Australia is out, but Ghana progresses! I'm torn on the Japan-Denmark game: it might depend on whether Bendtner starts. Dethy, my friend, your picks are letting you down.
