You know, I'd love to have a week where I lead by 40 going into Monday Nights game and my opponent doesn't have any players left. I thought this might be the week. but alas it is not.
(Yes. I'm almost certain to win. But I'm the most likely of the current leaders to lose this week.) |

Wow.. I was just looking at some stats in the Scumleague
I had the line in every single game, ranging from -3 to -49... I lost all but 1..
best losses...
line -49, lost by 14
line -25, lost by 8
line -25, lost by 3
line -35, lost by 13
line -36, lost by 3
Current week I have it by 21.. I'm 20 points behind with 2 players to go..
Imma go cry now |

This was the right week to play me, too. My best two players were off. (ESPN's projections aren't that great, though - they're not an "expected value" so much as an attempt to predict the exact stat line. But yeah, your team didn't show up so far this week.)
For once, I can't safely call an AC match going into MNF... IS still has four players left, and Tally has two. An IS loss virtually eliminates him from the AC.
Here, the top three are winning comfortably, and Tally will jump SS into fourth place... SS's team fell apart this week after our crushing tie. |

Adventurer's Cup
Tally (3-1)
mith (3-1)
IS (0-4)
MS Week 2: Tally (103) d. mith (89)
GL Week 3: Tally (155) d. IS (91)
GL Week 4: mith (112) d. Tally (58)
GL Week 6: mith (103) d. IS (51)
MS Week 7: mith (67) d. IS (64)
MS Week 9: Tally (104) d. IS (81)
Next:
GL Week 12: IS vs. Tally
MS Week 12: mith vs. Tally
I'm currently sitting in playoff position in all my leagues except for Scumleague, where I'm tied with Tally in our division at 5-4 and she has the division record and points tiebreakers; our week 12 matchup may settle things there. Tally has also moved into playoff position here, with the second best point total and a three game win streak.
I've got way too many big games this week, including 1 vs. 2 matchups here and in the local league. It would be a good time for a 7-0 week... |

Huh, I hadn't realized we were still taking 6 for the playoffs. Was trying to figure out how I had already clinched a spot.
Pretty crazy that we have the bottom half of the league all tied for the last playoff spot. |

Some leagues just do total points, no playoffs.
Head-to-head is of course vulnerable to matchup-based luck, but it also rewards consistency a bit more (scoring 100 every week is better than scoring 150 half the time and 50 the other half). And total points can be pretty dull toward the end of the year; if we were running this league on total points, it would be difficult for anyone to overcome my current lead, whereas with head-to-head teams have a chance to keep improving through pickups and trades and getting players back from injury and so on.
(I've also done a league which was a compromise between the two - total points didn't matter, but you played everyone every week.) |

"...it would be difficult for anyone to overcome my current lead..."
And what's wrong with that? Isn't that the point...to reward the best?
As it stands, you're obviously way better than me point wise, but just a half game ahead in the standings. I don't deserve that standing. |

Adventurer's Cup
Tally (4-2)

MS Week 2: Tally (103) d. mith (89)
GL Week 3: Tally (155) d. IS (91)

MS Week 7: mith (67) d. IS (64)
MS Week 9: Tally (104) d. IS (81)
GL Week 12: IS (105) d. Tally (83)
MS Week 12: Tally (94) d. mith (71)
Next:
GL Week 13: mith vs. Tally
MS Week 13: IS vs. Tally
There will only be one of us in the Scumleague playoffs this year (and it's looking pretty bleak for me, 1.5 back of IS with 2 to play).
Everyone still alive here, with the bottom 4 only a half game back of 6th... |

I'm shocked I'm in first.
I'd make fun of you people for not drafting Hillis, but I didn't draft him either.
(To be fair, I did draft two Cleveland running backs, I just didn't expect him to have a chance at starting until Hardasty was injured for the season.) |

(4) Flying Monkies (6-6-1)
(5) Tally Whackers (6-7)

MS Week 14: IS vs. mith
If Tally and I meet both here in the semis and in the Scumleague consolation bracket, I need to win both of those games or Tally takes the AC. (The only way the latter can happen is if I lose to IS this week, so Tally would have the edge if we split the playoff matchups.)
If only one of those happens, it will be the decisive match. We could potentially tie in record (with me beating IS twice and then losing to Tally, or me losing to IS twice but beating Tally), but whoever wins the final matchup would have head-to-head bragging rights.
If neither happens, it comes down to my record against IS in Week 14 and in a potential consolation match.

And with less than four games seperating the top seed (8-4-1) and the last place team (5-8), this is the closest league I've ever played in.

I usually do best when I am the 6th seed but I'll take 152 points. I won my baseball league this year, this could be a very good year. Hopefully Reindeer doesn't score 142 points against me next week like he did in the finals 2 years ago. _________________ "Heads you're good, tails you fail" says my fortune cookie |

Tally is out in the GL playoffs, so this is the last game on the AC schedule. If I crush IS again, I'm the champ. If IS wins, Tally and I tie.
Tally is going for back-to-back Scumleague titles and her fourth in six years. Yikes. |

Man this sucks I could have sworn I saved my screen when I replaced Floyd (17 points) for Bryant (IR) and I still almost won! Oh well I have the 5th place match and learned alot this year so next season prepare to face the wrath of UM's Heroic Horses unless the Colts somehow win the superbowl then I would have to choose (Championship Colts)
I will luckily be at this Sunday's game thanks to my Aunt GO INDY _________________ The Classic Blunders:
