Belgian boardgame publishers Repos Productions announced some time ago the publishing of '7 Wonders', by Antoine Bauza (Ghost Stories, Mystery Express).

The rules are available here if you're interested. The nature of the game makes it very workable in forum version, and the rules give all the info needed, so I'm willing to try and mod this.

Basically, it's a city-building game where you use resources to build buildings, and those buildings help you with generating more resources, or giving you straight victory points, or some other benefit.

The cool thing about this game is the booster-draft feeling that it has. (The art is really gorgeous, too, but sadly, we're gonna miss that in this text version). Players will be dealt seven cards, and they will simultaneously select one of them and either build it, or use it to partially build his wonder (which gives points and/or other bonuses), or simply discard it to get some coins. Then they all pass the cards to the left, and with the new six cards they get, they make the same decision, and so on until they get two cards. Then they use one and the other one is immediately discarded.

The game has three decks of buildings, so now we take the second deck, and again that yields seven cards per player, and the process is started again, only this time cards pass to the right. Deck III is then played in the same way, cards passing to the left.

At the end of that, the player with the most victory points, which can be gotten in several ways, is the winner.

I'm open to answer questions if you get them, and trying to see if there'd be interest in playing this. Max number of players, who would have said, is seven. If this starts up, I'd be looking for one turn every day (to account for time zones), which would take 18 days to complete, or a few more if weekends need to be discounted.

Participants so far:
1. lexprod
2. amb
3. Scurra
4. jesternl
5. Sentran
6. Dethwing

Definitely interested. But due to time constraints im not sure if I'd be happy about the one move per day. Perhaps 48 hours?

I guess that could work. We'd have to check what pace the players want. Revenge most foul!

Yeah, I'd definitely be up for this.

It's one of the few new games this year I'm really excited about (mostly because I've mostly been thinking about my own, of course!)

I've updated with a list of players.

Do you want to use A-side wonders or mixed A and B randomly?

Despite the insistence that they're balanced, I think everyone should use the same side for game 1. All A or all B, but no mix. Either one is fine with me.

Game looks really neat, but I'm not convinced it'll work PBF style. I'm willing to play in the second game if the first works though Extreme Delectation

OK, here's the randomized player order. Since turns are simultaneous, it doesn't matter if you are high or low. Just who are your neighbours. 1 and 6 are also neighbours. The player below you is considered to be on your left.

We're going to use all the wonders on Side A for this first game.

1. Amb (The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus). Production: Loom
2. Jesternl (The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus). Production: Papyrus
3. Lexprod (The Statue of Zeus in Olympia). Production: Wood
4. Scurra (The Hanging Gardens of Babylon). Production: Clay
5. Dethwing (The Pyramids of Giza). Production: Stone
6. Sentran (The Colossus of Rhodes). Production: Ore

Alexandria and its Lighthouse are not in this game. Sending the initial hands in a couple minutes.

Hands for Age II have been sent. Remember that this age the cards move UPWARDS instead of downwards. At the end of this age, the military victories are worth +3 (but defeats are still -1).
