Well, Chaz, I don't know about my teammates, but I hadn't spotted Zag as the cop. If you'd kept your mouth shut, he probably would have lived.

Well played Mafia. Boo to Chaz.
I've learned a lot from this game, and I kept up with the game throughout.
Looking forward to my next chance!

Heh. Oddly enough a fellow GLer sent me a text to say exactly that after I was lynched. I decided to make it make it my "farewell post." =D

Put it back on the shelf rm; I'm not buying it. Razz If Mackay and I both figured it out, then it stands to follow that you and Silver would have to have been very dumb to not figure it out when you were mafia. I saw your play, and I will not buy that you're that dumb. I guess I'll just have to assume that you're butt hurt about me seeing right through you. Razz

man I really thought MNOWAX was mafia. Chaz you really screwed the pooch on this one but on the other hand when we lynched you the game immidately turned to boredom. all hail Chaz the most entertaining dufus to walk the hallowed halls of the grey labyrinth.

I have to agree that I had MNO on the top of my list also, when I went out. Second on my list was Snik, taking over for sAb. It was more sAb's behavior than Snik's, though, that led me to that conclusion. DP had pointed out something suspicious he had done which made sense to me, though I'm afraid I don't recall what it was, now. In my last night I investigated DP before I was killed. He seemed as good a choice as any, and I wanted to verify that his comment wasn't meant as misleading.

Silverfire was the biggest surprise. I had him (her?) pegged as town.

I straight up called everything. You guys were just foolish to ignore me. Razz

I even sacrificed myself so town would understand that my intentions were pure. You goons blew it. Period.

Yep, you called everything. Everything that turned out to be correct, as well as everything that turned out to be incorrect. The problem for us, of course, is separating the wheat from the chaff. And we see that's a problem for you, too, I see. Except, of course, with your 20/20 hindsight.

Sorry Silver (and rm). I do not buy that you guys are idiots. Razz

@Dopey: I didn't call "everything." I speculated about everything and finally concluded who mafia were. I then realized that my conclusions were based on my innocence, and proceeded to prove that which I could actually prove--that I was a townie.

It is not my fault that the rest of town chose to ignore the evidence when it was piled in neat stacks in front of them. As soon as rae asked "what if I'm not?" I had them. Granted, I thought Quail and then Mackay was with them, but I most definately caled Silverfire, and rm was my second best bet on who was scum.

I even said they'd kill Mackay that night (yes, that was an obvious kill), but I also said they'd off DP the next night--which was hardly obvious.

Mackay was right about one thing, however, I was so obsessed with "being right" that I lost sight of what was best for the game. I literally sacrificed myself for the greater good, but for all the good that did. Ecstatic Happiness

I had no clue about Zag being the cop, for what it's worth.

Also, apologies for coming back in at this point, but two things need to be said.

First, law school kicked my ass. Dropping from the game was in the end a good idea, although it pained me to see it wound up with raekuul not getting to play a full game. Rae, I'm sorry, and hopefully you get to play to your fullest on the next go round.

Second, I've never played with Mackay / Chaz before, but just one note. Mackay, I know the game is fun, but the ad hominem attacks are the main reason I stopped playing on mafiascum. GL was always a better place to play because people were always nicer. Congratulations on screwing that up.

See, the lesson here is that if you're going to let yourself be pegged as mafia by somebody, make sure it's the guy who's already lost all credibility.

Actually... even if that's true, there's no way you'd know that he was a cop if he hadn't admitted to it (since--if you truly didn't conclude it on your own--you're clearly either incapable of reasoning, or not reading the thread at all.) Razz So that puts it back on Zag, not Chaz.

Whatever. Clearly, you were putting a lot more effort into the game than anyone else. Equally clearly, you also imagined a lot of stuff that was complete crap. In any case, I'll ask you nicely not to out townie power roles in the future. No matter how obvious it may seem to you, maybe it isn't to other people, and you are actually giving something away. So STFU about it, next time. If you think you see something where a mafia has given himself away, feel free to speculate.

Is that clear enough? We are all happy for you that you are almost halfway as brilliant as you think you are. Rather than try to show it off, next time, keep it to yourself.

Edit: Oh yeah. And if you could be just a tad less arrogant about others "not reading carefully enough" next time, that would be greatly appreciated. And, by the way, the theory that you were espousing at the time was, you'll recall, completely wrong.

I said it was completely wrong, at the time. Razz It was actually your terrified posts that I may actually be correct with my theory that outed you as a cop (at least to me.)

I was just playing on it to get conversation moving along. If nobody is talking, then nobody is saying anything, and there's nothing to make deductions out of.

Conversation (even bad conversation that puts power roles at risk) is always a good thing for townies.

In response to amb's comment in Sopranos mafia, even if I'd caught Zag dropping the words Sleepy and Hollow, I probably wouldn't have guessed Crane as a cop. (He might be in the movie, but I'm only familiar with the original story, in which he isn't.) I picked Donnie Brasco, Inspector Frank Abberline, Officer Tom Hanson, or maybe Agent Sands as the most likely cops.

I thought you would have picked up on Zag's panicked reaction to my risking the outing of power-roles, but I guess Mackay and I were the only observant players in the game. Melancholy
