I am trying (and thus far failing) to find a case where not using your highest property to take the 15 is a good scenario. It was a choice that confused me; that's all.

If we all assumed that, and bid lower, he might have taken 15 with "not his highest" property, thus allowing him to later use his highest property to take the other 15.

Congrats on shared win, j_s!
Now that the game is over, I can explain my move on not playing the 30 on the 15 checks.
That round had several high checks, and that neutralizes it a bit. As an extreme case, would you play your 30 on 13, 13, 14, 14, 15, 15? Or would you rather play it next round, when it comes 0, 0, 2, 2, 3, 9?  _________________ Jan 21st, 2008: The pillaging continues.

| It appears my method of (sum of properties)/2 + points equations works reasonably well. I think the majority of the skill lies in part 1 of the game. |
