My mother has passed. She was 62 and healthy; her death was a shock and a tragedy.
She had suffered from a fall which broke one of her ribs, was seen at the hospital and released - two days later, she died of internal injuries. It was early in the morning on 13 February, and I recieved the Red Cross message on Sunday morning. On Monday, I was on my way home to Boston to bury her. I spent time with my sisters and step-father and extended family, and now have recently returned to Iraq from leave.
