Another Rules game: MNOWAX and 3iff

Clarification on first rule, do upper case letters count as punctuation, or is it just ,.:;!? and so on that is prohibited?

MNOWAX has avoided using upper case but I can't tell if that's writing style or due to the rule.

I have not played this game before (and I'm not playing it now), but I've been following the thread.

I can not find in the rules where clarifications or non-rules posts do not need to follow the current rules. In other words, would a clarification post (or any post by a current player) need to follow the current rules?
If so, BUZZ 3iff (post 41), BUZZ Zag (post 43), BUZZ MNOWAX (post 45).
If not, never mind.

These clearly imply that it is legal to make other posts that are not "rules." Since it specifically says that your rule must follow rules, it implies that non-rule posts don't have to. In any case, that's how it has always been played, and the only way that makes any sense.

clarification: we are including the "numbered word" as part of the calculation? plus we are not rounding up, correct? what degree of accuracy are we looking at here?

Note about time: until someone actually buzzes you for exceeding the time limit, you can post your rule. But because anyone can buzz, I wouldn't expect a delay of more than ~5 days to be tolerated. Extension are available at the front desk.

BTW, I meant to write "all words in the rule" but the rule as I wrote works, too. It's just a lot harder to check.

Apparently rules must end with "in bed." but the last rule ends with ' in Bed. ' The capitalised B in bed is not the same as the lower case b in the rule.

By quoting "in bed." I would consider that as a definitive form which does not have to (or need to) be modified by previous rules...

Well, I don't think that is a worthy buzz if only because of Zag's rule.

there are vowels in the phrase in bed, and either those vowels do not count towrards the Zag's rule, or it can be capitalized without any problem. the reasoning is that it is possible that you have to capitalize them because of the two vowels in the phrase in bed.
