There used to be some website/puzzles that I went to awhile back (years) that I can't find again.

There was a relatively famous one, but there were offshoots as well.

They would usually have a cryptic page with an image, then you needed to figure out what the image or code was to get to Page 2. Page 2 would then have an image or puzzle and you would need to figure out how to get to Page 3. Sometimes you'd have to just click on a part of the picture. Sometimes you'd have to change the web address (so page 2 would be website.com/page2.htm).

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

There are many such sites. Here's one:

See, I always loved those sites. But I always tried to figure them out on my own and would eventually find one that I couldn't solve. :\ There was, I believe, one linked here in Off-Topic that I tried. I was working on the site.. and probably could have gotten a lot further, maybe even helped others, if I hadn't be so damned stubborn and tried to get help/clues when I got stopped instead of trying to figure it all out on my own.

Know any other sites like that? Might be a good idea to collect a few here.

I've never been a fan (no offense to those who write such puzzles). There used to be a huge glut of such sites, and most of the puzzles were poorly written in the vein of "guess what I'm thinking." Rather than search for a diamond in the rough, I chose to stay out of the rough.

They can't be any worse than the "riddles" in the Adam West Batman series.

Or "Go Crazy Doggie!"

Thanks for sending the VSP link to my puzzle, Antrax. Death Mage, I'm happy to help if you'd like to keep going on mine.

To answer planet_buzz, my favorite puzzle of this style is the Enigma Puzzle found here:
http://www3.telus.net/enigmapuzzle/energythief/

I believe it has 92 levels...new levels have been promised for years, but I'm still waiting for them. It's still great fun.

The most famous puzzle of this type that I am aware of is notpron:
http://www.deathball.net/notpron/

I enjoyed this puzzle less than Enigma (and I have not completed it), but it's still fun.

I recently played the Tricky Riddle and completed the 100+ levels in just about one day:
