Cloudrunner claimed doctor.
MNOWAX claimed tracker.
It's somewhat assumable that post numbers had nothing to do with their deaths.

vote: extension

I was away for five days this weekend, and I've had some RL crap come up since I've been back. Sorry I can't post more. Hopefully with an extension I can contribute and prevent

I can point out Zag's misinterpretation of what I said to help you all find the remaining scum.

Zag wrote:
Third paragraph: Planting a little seed for a strong finish if he can get either Amb or me killed -- he could even do it himself if no other good scum-kill candidate shows up. Note this: "if one was killed, I'd assume the other is scum" and NOT "if one was killed and flips town, I'd assume..." Why? Because he already knew. If he really believed that one of us were scum, then he would have mentioned us again in his final wrap-up, but neither of us is there.

I didn't say "if one was killed and flips town" because I said killed, not lynched. I can say with confidence that anyone who gets killed in this game will be town. How much are you willing to twist my words or make up arguments to lynch me?

As for knowing whether or not bgg was scum, well, I wasn't completely sure. Apparently you knew.

Hmmm. Ok. I guess I read it as simply "dies, by any means," but the wording matches what you're describing better than how I interpreted it.

However, that wasn't the only reason I suspected you -- in fact, I didn't even notice it until I was already writing up the note. I'll take back how sure I am, but you're still #1 on my list. My primary reasons for suspecting the note were

1. I went looking for just such a note at that time, with no expectations of who would be the author. Your fit perfectly.

2. You tried to place doubt on the idea of voting for the people who did not vote for 3iff, without really taking a stance. However, you then continue your reasoning as if it had been decided.

3. You set up a number of either-or candidates. (Amb / Zag and MNO / Sentran) It's a scum tell.

4. The "who knows?" is a scum tell. It's like a shrug in poker. If your opponent shrugs and bets, fold. Right away.

I'm willing to drop as evidence the wording that I misread. I still see you as the most scum-like in behavior.

Official Vote Count:

Zag (2) - Apple Sause, Quailman
Ctorj (1) - Amb
Amb (1) - Sentran
Quailman (1) - Zag
Sentran (1) Garou_Kinfolk

Not voting: Ctorj

-----

"Well, at least the vote is hung. I guess no one dies," states Zag with a hint of displeasure in his mouth.

"Actually, Zag, there were two votes for you. You are hung," corrects Apple Sause.

Garou_Kinfolk gives a small chuckle at this statement, Amb rolls his eyes, and Sentran gives Zag a side-long glance.

Zag stares, dumbfounded. "What do you mean? Why would somebody vote me to be lynched?"

"I don't know, chap, but that's the way the cookie crumbles," replies Quailman.

The town leads a paralyzed Zag to the gallows. He is so dazed that he doesn't even put up a fight. As the last spasms permeate his body, you discover he was a simple townie.

Zag, vanilla townie, is dead. Day will end 1 week from this post (barring the mafia kill).

Regardless of when Ctorj posted after daybreak, the lack of a vote is noteworthy. Especially since he FOSed me.

I could envision a scenario where Ctorj is scum; he doesn't vote, he sees where the chips fall, and then goes after whoever that victim suspected yesterday.

I really thought Zag was playing us, and would have us lynch the innocents in the larger voting block (was it 3iff?) one by one until he could kill off the others.

I've gone back over posts and votes by Ctorj, and I find it interesting that he's voted for just Bgg and 3iff, before last night. Also he's only posted 9 times the entire game. In all of those posts he never mentions any reason for voting them. The only one he's even FOS'd is Quailman. That feel scummy to anyone else?

I'm not Amb. I just work all the damn time. Since most people choose to focus on that even though my RL reasons show why I can't post as much, a low vote count is just not a good enough reason to lynch someone, especially in the end game, as we approach closer.

I will admit my posts could have used more *hmph* to them, but that's how I'm rolling this game.

GK: I tried to send my vote in, but the mod already posted the death scene. I missed it by a couple of hours.

The good thing about all this is that since the mafia won't kill me since I'm at the top of the FOS list currently. (Thinking) Now, if I was trying to set Ctorj up, who would I kill next....

I've been trying to figure if anyone else is posturing for tommorow in the event we are wrong about Ctorj. Sentran says he could support a Ctorj lynch, but Amb is his numero uno. If it weren't for Amb being my numero dos (behind Ctorj), I'd say that's suspicious. OTOH, Sentran is my numero 3, not so much Garou, and I'm not sure about Apple Sauza.

My current list goes something like this (Scummy to townie):

1: Ctorj/Sentran
2: Amb
3: Apple Sause/Quailman
4: Garou_Kinfolk

I've already posted why I believe Ctorj is scummy. I'm working on the rest of the list at the moment. I don't have a lot of time on a computer, so it might take a bit to get to.

"I'm tired of going over all this same stuff. Maybe we should take a break," suggests Sentran.

"Yeah. I think I'm going to get something to eat. Anybody else want anything?" asks Ctorj.

"Something stiff if we've got it," replies Quailman.

"Maybe I'll have something light and fruity," answers Amb.

As Ctorj opens the kitchen door, he sees something and calls back, "I think I've got something for both of you. How about some Apple Sause?"

"Sounds great!" exclaims Amb.

"That doesn't sound very stiff," Quailman says querulously.

"Oh, it is. Just come and see."

Behold, Apple Sause is dead. Murdered for reasons unknown.

Day ends in 72 hours (barring an extension according to the rules).

Looks like Apple Sause was right with his earlier analysis. The remaining mafia member seems to be targeting lurkers. This is my second game so I have to ask, who has the ideology of "Lynch All Lurkers"?

I prefer Lynch All Liars, but Lynch All Lurkers works as well. That being the case, it seems an interesting strategy, in that a lurker would likely have risen on several suspicion lists.

I was originally going to vote for Amb. Although Amb is playing like his normal self, there is something bugging me about his play style that I can't quite pin point that's been bugging me since Day 2. I'll have to do a thorough analysis on his posts in this game, but he was my number one scum. When Zag died though, I know from experience that dead innocent townies tend to have very good points. Not all the time, but enough to have me consider switching my vote. With Amb's new found attack on me though, I would put:

Most scummiest: Amb/Quailman

as how I feel right now. I haven't analyzed everyone else yet. I know, I'm being a slacker. I'll work on that.

Of course there is something bugging you about my play style. I'm actually town for once. I'm about 85% scum, 5% town and 10% other. The mod must have felt like punishing me by making me totally vanilla.

But anyway, might it really have to do with the fact I'm targeting you?

Whoever the scum is, the killing of a replacement who was looking to contribute is very very low.

I will not be voting for an extension. I also realize that it's already a foregone conclusion since we've had a majority of people vote for it already, but I do not believe that it will help. In fact, I believe that it will just add another week of nobody talking before we can get on with the game.
I do not believe that Ctorj is the last scum. I do believe that following that line of thought will hand this win over to the mafia. I've already stated many times where my suspicions lie, so I'll put a bit more of a "why" out there.

The last remaining scum has been playing very well. I am still unsure of who it is even this far into the game, and I can make a reasonable argument why it could be any of them. This in and of itself tells me that the player is most likely a veteran, and good at the subtle game. Furthermore, I still believe that Amb above all has the presence of mind to bus his fellow scum in order to make himself seem innocent.

I decided to look at Jedo's ISO, looking for other patterns to help support my suspicions...
Night 1, nobody failed to vote.
Day 2, Ctorj, Lucresia, and cloudRunner were prodded.
Night 2, Lucresia did not vote.
Night 3, Lucresia did not vote.
Day 4, Quailman and Lucresia were prodded.
Also Day 4, Apple Sause replaced Lucresia.
Night 4, Ctorj did not vote.

It does not make any sense to me that in a game of this type that the scum would not vote at night. The 2 players that did not vote at night both cited RL reasons for their lack of content, and one has already been proven town. I believe the same to be true of Ctorj. That narrows down my possible suspects to 3, and one of them still fits with my strongest suspicions. As I've said before, I'll be voting for Amb when night falls.

BTW, Jedo still owes us a death scene for Apple Sause.

If Sentran isn't scum, then he just wants to pick the most vocal players - the exact opposite of the modus operandi to date of the mafia..... If Ctorj isn't scum then Sentran quite possibly is. I'm at the point of giving up with this game as too many aren't trying. I have no idea why the mafia would target the slackers either.

Are we really going to waste another extension? In the hope of continueing the discussion, here's what I have as of now.

Ctorj: I've already said why I believe he might be the scum. Looking back on it, I'd drop him down one spot on my list.
Sentran: Does an experienced player really ask for the last power role to reveal themselves when the other one just died? And what about the decision to not vote for an extension today then posting it?
Amb: The most vocal player in the beginning has quieted down a lot since the we lynched two of the scum.
Quailman: Been quiet a lot of the game. Then there was an angry sounding, to me, post to Sentran basicly saying that he
should have voted for Ctorj.

If anyone wants to add or detract from these observations, please do so.

Let me revise that a little bit. Quailman wasn't the person who posted what I was thinking about. It was Amb. Sorry Quailman. Honest mistake on my part. You're still the lowest person on my scum list. Sentran is the current highest followed by Ctorj then Amb.

Brilliant. This is exactly why I did not vote for an extension. I have very little to add to the game at this point, due to the fact that nobody else is posting.

In response to the only other posting person... I'm a bit baffled. Amb posted that I should have voted Ctorj (whose allegiance is still not known). You've also noted that he has been quieter since the scum were lynched. Still he's at the bottom of your suspect list? Well, if you'll be kind and vote me out tonight, at least it will not be my fault if the town loses.

My suspect list, from most to least suspicious, are as follows:
Amb
Garou
Ctorj and Quail are tied
