"No, but it seems like it sometimes with all the research trips I take around time." You follow Pluto and Astra into the Hall of Jupiter. "My mentor is the oldest being alive, at some twenty seven thousand years old. It used to be part of being a Pluto, but she had to re-enter the time stream in order to be with her fiance. She, too, will die of old age someday, though at the rate she's going she'll probably outlive me."

Astra looks at Pluto with a new look on her face. "You mean to tell me that your mentor is the same Pluto that's currently guarding the Gate of Time?"

Pluto nods. "I'm only the second Pluto ever. She's not the best teacher in the world, she does better at being enigmatic and mysterious and overly cryptic."

Seems like part of the job.

Pluto laughs. "It does; we Plutos have to be careful with what extra knowledge we've got if we're going to steer events towards the outcome we - that is to say, my Princess and all of her warriors - desire."

Astra nods. "This is where I leave you. From what I understand, you're supposed to pass the Artisan and Farmer challenges, then take the Jupiter Scroll forwards in time with you, giving me an excuse to kick the Zodiac into action on remaking the defenses on the Astral Library." She pulls two green keys from her pocket. "But I think we all know this will make things a lot easier for you. Unless you want to take those challenges. It's your call."

Won't they know you were involved if it gets out that the challenges were not passed? Lets leave your credibility in tack. I will take the challenges. Anyway I don't want to take what I haven't earned.

Astra thinks about this for a moment. "No, not really, since from the sound of things your presence in this time will be erased from everybody's memory."

She takes her leave.

You enter the western door. The door behind you closes and seals shut. The door ahead of you closes and seals shut.

The ceiling to this room is impossibly transparent. There is a man and an apple tree here. "I thought Astra was gonna speed this one up" he grumbles.

"What you're supposed to do is get an apple off of the tree without leaving the ground or hurting the tree. Astra told me that you'd have the keys to the vault already. Or did those raiders finally steal something?"

I have the key but I would rather earn what I take.

How High up are the apples?

The tree is tall, with the low branches just barely dancing within your reach.

You return to the hallway. Pluto is sitting on the floor, playing with what appear to be cards.

You pass through. There is a table with a key here.

Make sure it matchs one of the keys from Astra. If it does take it and head to the door for Artisan.

You pass Pluto, who is still playing with cards.

You enter the Artisan challenge. There is a very large machine here. You see gears in the machine. There is a woman banging on the side irritably.

Are you having some trouble with your machine?

She looks at you. "You're not Martian, are you?"

Ummm... No, can I help you though.

[raekuul]

She shrugs. "It's supposed to be turnin', but it ain't. You got any way to get inside of this thing? I don't know anythin' about technomagick. I prefer plain ol' magic."

is there a place for a belt, or a power source of any kind?

You inspect it, but there are no obvious places to put a belt. You see a small glass ball off to one side, connected to the main body of the machine through some cables.
