Actually, I'd really prefer to hold him to the 8. I didn't see that he put it down and changed it till now. It would mean I only have to bid 10 and I could keep that so-very-important 1 card. Ecstatic Happiness

Note that it doesn't affect Lexie or Scurra, whether it is 8 or 10, because they both would have to go above a 10 to beat an 8, anyway.

Not quite true - I could have bid 6 to go with my 3 to make 9. That clearly wouldn't have changed your bid (except, perhaps, to save you 1), but I would have almost certainly done it.

The 10 was a smart bid to get Scurra out of the race. But I really should have bid 10+1 to also make it unwise for Zag to outbid. Oh well.

So now I have to waste a 6, and hope for some situations but not others.
