blegh, the WoT fans turned on their twitter or whatever account thing.
Getting smashed now, it was close for like 3 days, and considering how niche malazan is I'm still impressed with our showing, a win last year and, well this semi basically is the final, so I'm calling second place this year

And for those confused as to who the hell Anomander Rake is, he's the Samuel l Jackson of the fanasy genre.
If you like A song of Ice and Fire, try the Malazan Book of the Fallen, starting with Gardens of the Moon, be warned though you get dropped straight into a massive story and its go from the get go with a bit of head scratching to figure out what's happening, but books 2 and 3 make the effort totally worth it (deadhouse gates and memories of ice respectively)
