I tried to find a solution to this on the interwebs, but I couldn't define the problem precisely enough with few enough words to make a Google search viable.
Sometimes, when I left-click, it doesn't register. Sometimes, when I try to left-click and drag, it thinks I let go. The part that says "Hey, Grant's clicking!" is clearly in need of fixing. I would like to race some computer or browser-based games on SpeedRunsLive, such as Spider Solitaire or Hexiom, but this problem is enough to handicap me severely and prevent me from racing. (Then again, I suspect a USB mouse would be better for racing than the touchpad anyhow.) It's also annoying during ordinary use of my laptop.
Is there anything I can do? Should I just contact some laptop-repairing people? _________________ My logic puzzle blog |

is it when you left click by touching the pad? or using the button?
If it touching the pad, get into your pointing device settings and change the touch sensitivity.
If it is the button you are left clicking with, that may be more of a problem and is likely the pad itself that may need replacing. try it out with a USB mouse just in case it is a keyboard key sticking ( sometimes this can happen like a shift key and it is enough to prevent you from left clicking on things) then go from there. _________________ The Man The Myth The Legend

I have disabled left-clicking by touching the pad, as it has ruined many Minesweeper games by accident. It is the actual left mouse button which is acting up, and it only acts up maybe 10% of the time – enough to be annoying.

A stuck keyboard key doesn't explain why the mouse will think I let go of the button while I'm drawing with the pen in Paint.NET. Also, I don't know if the touchpad can be replaced on this thing; it's kind of attached to the laptop like the keyboard is. But I'm no techie. _________________ My logic puzzle blog |

the palmrest itself goes for about 10-15 bucks on ebay( the buttons by itself are like 6.00) it means taking few parts off of the PC, Id recommend taking it to someone to do unless you feel bold enough to do it yourself. _________________ The Man The Myth The Legend
