| I'd think that it's referencing the announcement which asserts an attempt to revive official GL puzzle making (I use revive lightly, I'm not sure it was ever dead). |

yeah, but why a date? Is the GL collaborative puzzle's due date that day? Or does it reference something totally different?
Maybe it's a redesign?
