3iff ran it a little while ago and I thought it was fun to watch. But I would like one change to the rules. The detectives may only post on their turn. They may say anything or provide any analysis they wish in that post.

This comes from my common gripe with cooperative games where one player takes over and too much effort is put into finding the best move.

From 3iff:
This is basically a game where a criminal is using various means of transport in London to escape a group of detectives. The rules are available on the internet and I'd be using a stylised map...I must dig the game out.

Rules here http://globetrotter-games.com/index.htm?E&game/rules/eScotYd1.htm But they may need modifying...The map I'll sort out later, http://shinh.skr.jp/syard/data/default/map.png looks reasonable.

The game takes 6 players (one hiding and up to 5 chasing). Anyone interested? I'll be moderating.

Mr X

I'm /interested, but since I played in the first, I'll only play if you need me to fill out the ranks so that others can play if they want.

I intend to update the map every time Mr. X makes a play.
Also, turn over will be revolving. So it will be like
Mr. X, A, B, C, D; Mr. X, B, C, D, A; Mr. X, C, D, A, B...

Hopefully that will cause extra confusion Felicitous

So, nicking my game eh? Not a problem.

You can put me down for a game...I'm happy to play any role...but I'd like to play Mr X as a preference.

The issue with the first game is that players 'sort of' dropped out. Not enough people commit to a game they've signed up for.

If you need any info, let me know.

I am hopeful that the rotating turn order and only posting on turns will keep all the detectives active in the game. No police puppet master!

I was able to find a list of the starting numbers so I don't believe I need any other game pieces. Except the special hat for Mr. X. BraveHat

Well, it would be nice to have another player or two...

But we could go ahead with a three person game if I am Mr. X. You guys would both get control of two detectives then.

Perhaps leave it another couple of days, see if we can get more players?

If no-one else joins then I'm fine with a 3-player game.

I do believe that will allow all the players to actually play the game. It won't be strictly enforced; harmless side comments and such will be allowed.

Also I should mention 103 is connected to 85 and 86 by taxi. Jedo's graphic blocks that a bit. My bad.

Turn order:
Jedo the Jedi
3iff
Undercover Monk
<and the person who hopefully joins as Detective #4>

I almost think it is hard enough with three! But sure... The final person also gets to move Mr. Why.

Which is UM this turn.

And I get another black ticket.

Turn order: 3iff, UM, Jedo

I don't think the extra body in the corner wouldn't have done any good at all. Might I suggest Taxi to 109 for 3iff, Taxi to 103 for Jedo, and Taxi to 55 for UM? That would be be a nice shift to the right. I can understand the logic of Taxi 130 for 3iff but bigger numbers aren't always the best plan in the early game.

Have you PMed him?

We can always just use the method of 3iff and I alternating controlling that detective. I don't want to push Monk out by any means. I would much rather he play, but I'm offering an alternative.

Taxi to 115? Would you like to borrow a black ticket? I have one here in my pocket that you can have if you catch me.

Lets see take the bus or catch a cab. Looks like the distance is short enough to walk. Or maybe I should go by the tube...

Code:

              Taxi    Bus    Metro    Black    2X
====================================================
Mr. Potter X     -       -       -      3       2

1      Taxi-161    T-102       T-124      T-54
