if 2 dogs are played simultaneous they are wiped out. you could have played a small dog. besides I would have had to up the bid to 9 which would have left me with the same amount of total points and less wiggle room with money.

Last card was an 8, meaning Monk pays 10 for 13 points.

1. Scurra (18) [Cats: -5]
2. Jedo (8) [Cats: 18]
3. MattV (16) [Cats: 13]
4. Zag (34)
*5. Undercover Monk (17) [Cats: 13]

Bank: 15

Exactly enough to pay this round.

OK, confused now.
UM bid 7. It was therefore my bid. Why reveal a cat?

(I would still have bid 8 and Jedo would have then passed revealing that 3, so I don't think that it's a major problem.)

2. Jedo (10) [Cats: 18]
3. MattV (22) [Cats: 13]
*4. Zag (16) [Cats: 47]

It hardly seems worth bothering. Revenge most foul!
I thought Jedo's opening round was going to be hard to top, but that's extraordinary.

Sorry, but I've completely lost track of what cards I have left (never mind keeping track of what cards others have played). I've been thinking that all the info is actually in the thread, and I'll go put it together when I need it, but is there any chance one of you with a spreadsheet would like to post it?

I didn't have anything better to do, so I've spent a couple of minutes collating what has been played.

Everybody has 4 of the following 5 cards.

S:11, 5, 0, -5, BD
J:15, 3, -5, BD, SD
M: 11, 5, -5, BD, SD
Z: 11, 8, 5, -5, -8

So now, if Scurra really wants to bid intelligently, he will let me in on the bidding so that I have a chance of getting more pass money and not the competition. At least that's what I'm hoping so I can actually bid once.

On the other hand, if he forces you to pass and take the minimum, that could drastically improve what he gets, assuming he plans to pass when it comes back around to him. (Because, not only are you forced to pass, but it encourages others to pass, as well.)
