A) Please don't attribute things to me I didn't say. +10 to you on my scum chart.
B) I don't know how much clearer I can be. My issue with the "gut read" is not about your interpretations of details, small things that strike you as a defining attribute, or any other combination of anything else similar. It's not about how anyone defines it. It is purely based on the wording. The "gut read" is specifically, completely, utterly, totally about you using the phrase "my gut" to justify a vote when you have never done so in the past.
On a different note, I really, really want to hear from the lurker hordes, and not just a "I'm here, I'll post more later" or a "So and so has a good idea, I'll just follow them" post. I want to know what you all think, your opinions, your suspicions, heck, even just a list showing these are the people I find scummy and these are the ones I feel are town, with at least a few words describing why you think that (even if no one else has said anything about that reason why you think so and so is scummy/town). I know you all have thoughts, so just share them with us.

So, I was going to reply to Jedo's post 420 when I realized a couple of things. First, I was going to just repeat the same things I have repeated over and over again. Second, it'd end up being another wall post again. Third, I think Jedo is scum and when arguing with scum it often feels like talking to a wall. I would be more then happy to vote for Jedo today if he didn't have immunity. I will be more then happy to start tomorrow off with voting him, if I'm still alive then.

Good! I'll join you on that one, since I feel the same. Now, as for today, I still like DP more than esme, and esme more that GK, but since I'm not getting traction on DP I may have to switch to esme. I still fail to see DP's reasoning, but the more esme posts without content, the more I like her for a lynch candidate. The lurkers need to post more, period.

I thought I fairly outlined my suspicion on Sentran based on his hypocrisy which cemented into a full-on vote when Garou posted his self-serving replay of the day's events. |

I said I was going to start paying attention to this game. I haven't really done that yet.

Nice try, but a one line response is not an outline. A "WTF, why you did you do that" post is not an outline. The closest you came to an outline was post 391 where you actually wrote more than one line in your post.
Also, considering you quoted it in your post, how about you answer the second part of my question? It was quite short and clear, but here it is again (so it can't be missed):

It's also pretty easy to play this style when you're apathetic and don't have much to contribute. |

Yup, that's not my style.
I play through, and pay attention. I'm not the one who goes back to research previous happenings.
I post short contributions when required either because I picked something out or because someone asked me a question.
That's my style, I suggest if you don't like it.. I'm apathetic enough not to care. |

You saw my conversation with spyrl and saw that my position is fairly weak, so what you did was attempt to artificially inflate the number of people in the conversation, Note the use of "everyone" to refer to spyrl.
And, you felt you needed to strengthen his position. I'm not sure what that was about.
1. Trying to endear yourself to spyrl,
2. Trying to get an innocent (me) lynched
or
3. You are not very creating and like to mirror the arguments of others.

Well, jadesmar has succeeded in surpassing everyone else on my scum-read-o-meter. Synopsis of why: First, his own admission that he has not read all of the game and therefore is going off of either the reads of others, or what has happened since he joined. Second, even though spyrl has repeated the same question three times and Raekuul has asked it yet again, he refuses to answer the simple question "who do you feel is town?". He may argue that he answered it by saying NOT myself or Raekuul, but that's not answering the question. He also stated that he responds when asked questions, but I guess a response and an answer are mutually exclusive.

As for who I feel are town, I think spyrl makes some good logical points and makes sense as a scum-hunting townie. I know that I'm town. Beyond that, I suppose either Rae is possible, but there are too many people not syaing enough for me to get a clear read.

I most certainly have not gone off the reads of others. And, we are individually going off what has happened since we joined the game, we just did it at different times.

Correct, I don't believe that every question requires a answer, but certainly, to not response would be rude. Especially when I've emphatically stated that I don't have enough information to go off of. Perhaps I haven't stated it clearly enough
I won't answer that question because I don't have enough information yet
However, I believe spryl to be closer to town probabalistically at this point. |

Sorry I hadn't posted much lately. I've been going over my notes/charts and everything else I've got to see what's there. I had been reading the thread and continuing my notes as well. I'm re-evaluating a few things regarding Sentran, but I'm still keeping him on my scum list for now, just not as high up there.

With that out of the way, it looks like you're handicapping yourself on purpose and not taking steps to remove the handicap. I can't see why a townie would keep themselves handicapped when looking for scum.

You can't see why I would create a weak position from which to argue and see who attacks?
I'll tell you, it's because I believe it's the mafia that usually attacks most vehemently those townies who are at a weakened position.

And, it's pretty easy to ascertain that I'm going to be lynched or murdered at a period not too long in the future and, the hope is that someone will look back and see when this happened. |

Why would you bother to read the Mod's posts, but not all of the other posts? Why would you bother playing a game in which you have crippled yourself by not reading all of the information available to you? Why would you blind yourself to available information that can assist you with making your own decisions? I don't understand why anyone would deliberately ignore information in a game that is based on the posts of others.

Why would you bother to read the Mod's posts, but not all of the other posts? Why would you bother playing a game in which you have crippled yourself by not reading all of the information available to you? Why would you blind yourself to available information that can assist you with making your own decisions? I don't understand why anyone would deliberately ignore information in a game that is based on the posts of others. |
