I think you would have to look at the paradox that is working here...

If demon #1 Uses all the balls 1-9 to paint a zero behind it... then he would have 10, 20, 30 outside the urn... If the sorcerer looks afterwards in the urn, he will find that there are 2 balls that have the number 10, 20, 30, 40 .... Because he didn't really take them out...
And balls 1-9 are not there.... And I'm not even going in the whole infinite number thing....
