It struck me as i read the solution to this this puzzle that the first answer, the one involving the Thomas lamp, is a virtual impossibility due to the theory that if you divide the length by half between one point and another infinitely, you will never arrive there. Therefore, after two seconds, the light would not be on because, in theory, the second 'second' could never be reached, thus making the answer impossible.
