This one is fairly easy.

Solution:
Simply move the horizontal bar up above the original "inner tower." It may look soething like this:
code:
                o

/ \
/ \
/ \
o o
/ \ / \
o--o-----o--o
/ \ / \
/ _o_ \
/ _/ \_ \
/ _/ \_ \
/ _/ \_ \
/ _/ \_ \
/ _/ \_\
/_/ \
/ o
o

Please excuse the bad ASCII art, but you get the point.

Simply move the middle wall up so that the two towers are on the inside.

Oh well, other options are possible if walls can curve a bit...

dastal is right, but I wonder if it can be done with all five walls having an exterior portion.

Just imagine that I could figure out a way to connect those other X's

I could be wrong but that doesnt't look right. Some rules are not fulfilled and you're missing an "X". (tower)

With curved walls,OK let's see if I can work this invisible thing...
code:
...

It's not too clear but there are two curved walls one like a closed
bracket ) and the other like the top 3/4 of a C

x
/ \
/ \
x x
/ \ / \
/ x \
/ / \ \
/ | | \
/ | | \
x-----x---x-------x
/ | |
/ \ /
/ \x
/ /
x___________/

...

...but I don't suppose curved walls were intended in the answer.

[Edited to try to fix invis spacing]

You only have three on the northeast wall.
And I agree that curved walls were not intended. Just move some of the points a bit so the walls need to 'flex', and bend them between towers.

It appears the simplest way is to merely move the bottom horizontal line up to cross the two inner lines above the central tower. This places two towers within the walls and satisfies all the conditions.

I think thats the best way too.... it gets two towers in... the only reason it may be less desirable is that its too obvious

see http://puzzleanswer.tripod.com/images/const.gif for the blueprints

or see http://puzzleanswer.tripod.com/images/const1.gif for some really wild ideas

I agree with Sir Duke the Luke, it is a very simple qustion with a very simple solution move the middle wall up so the 2 towers are inside the outer walls.

or press Ctrl-A to select all invisible text on a page at once!

PS Duphrates, please include some EOL characters inside the code tags. It's increasing the pagewidth unnecessarily.

Besides, hasn't Quailman edited my reply into code?

I added the [code] bit to your message, because without that, UBB drops all the leading spaces and everything slides over to the left. When I did that, I left the text intact, but I just now fixed that with a carriage return (End Of Line).

Um that solution is right I guess but the solution should contain only 2 towers in the center and the curved solution contains more. I think the original answer is the only reasonable one submitted so far.

why EXACTLY two??? The king (and queen too) may have relatives that would value some additional protection too! ((there is no mentioning that the walls should be straight!))

Sir Duke the Luke is correct. You just move the bottome line up. You don't need curved lines or anything.
