Hey Hey.... it's me again, totally off track as usual....

'Bar' got me thinking of a weather chart... as the note is about weather (I'm assuming low and high temp for each day). I know it seems like I've read into it too much, but I'm more of a lateral thinker than an outright puzzle solver, which could be why I'm not too good at this.

2 things strike me as odd: Why are Saturday and Sunday not shown, and (possibly more importantly... or not ) what's with the R symbol? Could just be there to serve the code.

A = -2 e.g. Monday O+A=-4 -2 + -2 = -4
E = +5 This works for all the 'lows' figures.

i have been looking at this for awhile and came to nothing.

i was thinking that 401 can mean something because that is in it twice. along with 170. But i am lost on this.

Will: I just did some calculations that led me to estimate the average number of repeated 3-digit sequences in a 41-digit sequence at about 1.404. So one repeated sequence and two repeated sequences both seem like likely coincidences.

But the repetitions *could* mean something, I just don't think it's likely.

My reasoned theory...

Screw the numbers... they don't have to mean anything... they could just be there to throw you off and make it more difficult than it really is...

Skinny is behind the door... He is in his own home...

A bar is the part of a law court where a judge sits; Skinny is the judge of his wager... He has spies and will know; he'll know if you turn and leave his house... he is one step ahead of you. So is the house, if your at the door... the numbers are on-back, they might not have anything to do with the puzzle...

In regards to DUDE down below...

The city is in a brownout, it says earlier in the puzzle, and if true the lights of Skinny's house could have gone out and this would not necessarily mean that Skinny is home. Also you never knock (at least the puzzle does not say), but if I see a note on the door I would not knock either, I'd read the note first...

How long do I leave it?

How obscure do I make it?

Is it down to me to do or is it the Minotaurs job?

I saw the hint given for Restroom Poetry but that was
from the incumbant Minotaur.

As a hint, All Data is Valid. The plot's worth paying attention to

Skinny was only used as he hadn't been in a puzzle for a while.

I can't seem to get the Invis tags to work. It seems just to change the font colour to a Dark(ish) Green.

The weather hint could be false- the numbers mean something, but don't actually relate to the weather. Look at all the predictions. At least where I'm from, weather usually shifts about 20 degrees from sunrise to the days high temp. There is ALWAYS a difference, also. No forecaster would ever put up a prediction saying that the temperature wouldn't change all day.

How are we supposed to transform numbers into letters? There aren't enough different numbers to do it directly. Unless the temperatures have something to do with grouping the numbers into letters... *shuts up*

I put the numbers on a graph, that came up nothing, then I put the 4 0 1... thing on a graph and that turned up nothing.

On a totally random note, all the lows, and all the highs added together get me 2 and 30 whatever that means

I may be way off track here, but I interpret the verbal clue as referring to a "Cartesian Well", which I believe has something to do with graphs (perhaps a 3-D graph?)

Ah. I'm thinking that the cryptic is simply "Cartesian." If you interpret the temperatures as x,y points, you get: (-4,6), (2,8), (8,8), (-3,6), and (-1,2)

I tried this approach before, but I don't see where it leads to. Unless you're suppposed to graph the numbers below, but since there's an odd number of them, it doesn't lend well to graphing.

[edit: Unless you're supposed to apply the temperatures to the list of numbers below in some way? Start in one location, go back four, forward six, etc.? Or start at the beginning, and cycle through the temperature list numerous times until you repeat?]

Hey, if you connect the dots, doesn't the above kind of look like a "square root" sign? I tried finding the square root of the series of digits, all I got was "6337606938602276.7639618553725786", and I have no idea what to do with it...

it also kind of resembles a "long-division" sign

It does look like a square root sign, although only if you connect the dots Mon-Thu-Fri-Tue-Wed instead of Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri. Although Mon-Thu-Fri-Tue-Wed is in the order of "average temp", so maybe there's something in that idea.
