Happy Easter/April Fools' Day! I finally have a few days off school to seriously think about registering, so here I am! So, I've decided to post a tiny puzzle I enjoyed:

You are given a necklace and is asked to fix it. The necklace is made of 23 alternating jade and crystal beads, except for two crystal beads side by side, on a seamless platinum cord. There is no clasp, and cutting the platinum cord would wreak the necklace. What do you do?

Hope this isn't too easy!

welcome!

my answer:
i'd try breaking one of the adjacent crystal beads. of course, this would leave a small space on the necklace, but it shouldn't be noticeable while it's being worn.

cubestudent: of course you're right.

*grumble* maybe I should post a harder puzzle.

If its a continuous cord, can't you slide the beads round until the adjacent beads are at the end, then slide one to the other side, giving a series beginning and ending with a crystal bead?
