since the last post in VSN.

So here's my useless news:

I totally dissed my best friend by somehow insulting the fact that her religious beliefs are based on a book.

Details? I'm clueless.

Apologize right away dood. She has the right for her own beliefs.
Tell her you're a doofus. That always works.

(You should never ever dissed anybody b/c of their religions/beliefs, never ever ...
mostly cuz you can't really prove that they are wrong either, so take it all with a grain of salt)

What I said was that I find it hard to fully respect "bible-thumpers", people that can only quote and can't think.

She thought I meant her, an the circumstances made it hard to explain that.

If she wasn't putting out, I don't see why you bother with her.

I'm of course kidding. The best thing to do is to let it blow over. Tell her you're sorry, you love her, and then let her get over it. (always works for me) You can't fix something you did wrong with girls, they have to get over it.

You're right. I don't think many people respect others that 'only quote and don't think', and I happen to believe the bible. I can even quote some of it. Of course, I don't thump it. I find that rather hard on both the thumb and the bookcover. But ANY religion ( even people who believe in little blue people who run around inserting ISE notices) needs to be able to have some logic involved. Faith (believing the supposeably unbelievable) is only a part of religion.

Speaking from a female perspective, I bet it wasn't what you say that got her ticked, but HOW you said it.

He said that with a sneer, and looked at me twice while he said it. He's implying I'm an idolt. Well, he's got another thing coming if he thinks I am going to put up with that...."

Give it time. Females got hormones too.

Proverbs 15:1 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"
Proverbs 16:24 " Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

By the way, my husbands favorite quote: " Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a nagging wife" Proverbs 21:9

Punster: My 11 year-old came across this one and recited it at the dinner table when my wife was acting up:

Proverbs 20:19 It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

He thought I should be aware of that. What a fine son he is!
