Well, I'll state the obvious for G3 and say the key at the top looks like cars.
The bottom one with the checkered pattern would be some kind of race car, maybe the second one is a coupe / soft top. Dunno about the third one. |

G3 is not space shots.
The images on G3 are, indeed, cars. Now, I would think with little search, one could put the pieces together (1954, 1983, convertable, "race" cars) and tell me what the diagram/chart illustrates.

Okay, I more than cheated on this, but G3seems to be the history of the Corvette, showing number of cars produced per year. However, the data I'm looking at shows that they were first produced in 1953. There were none produced in 1983, however, so I assume that has to be it.

| G3 is indeed, the history of the Corvette. The data I had said 1954. Oh well, nice work either way. |

I was told by the creator of these diagrams that they would be difficult to recognize, but I will post them anyway. If no one gets these after two weeks or so, I will post an entirely new thread about them, because they really have me curious.

| G8 (posted by Jen Aside) looks like the different paths you could take to get to Venom back from the old Starfox game (I had the NES version). I can't believe I didn't see that sooner... |

Great puzzles! Solution for G6, and apologies in advance if the invisible text doesn't work:
These are the first ten digits of pi, as typed out on a telephone keypad. The arrows start at where the "3" would be, go on to the 1, then the 4, then back to the 1, etc. The only odd thing is that the first and third rows of keypad numbers are switched here, at least according to how it's laid out on my phone. |

Wait, nevermind, I see...
It's a calculator, not a telephone, so the first digits are 3 then . then 1 then 4, etc. etc. The order of the keys is totally correct. My bad |

All right folks, we've got some good ones out here, and they're starting to feel unloved... So how about hints/revelations/subtle insights/clever deceits regarding M1, G8, the submission by afreet, and the tantalizing DS1?
Anyone care to second my motion for a *bump* ? |

For DS1, it *might* be useful to try identifying what the things are. Such a list, if enough of the items are appropriately identified, might trigger some deep-seeded (or is it deep-seated?) relationship in at least someone's mind, and likely in several persons' minds. |

DS1:
The statue of an emperor (Roman, right? or is that Napoleon?) with an up arrow.
Something that loogs like the inside of a flower.
A salt cellar(?) with a down arrow.
A tiny television set.
A five-gallon bucket with a blue ribbon. |

Zut --
But *who* is the statue of?
And *what* kind of flower is it?
Then, do you (or does anyone?) notice anything about your list? |

Sorry, HappyMutant, it's not "the college admissions process".
Here's a hint: total the numbers.
There are many ways to represent my diagram and I also found conflicting information, but I'm sure that it can be solved. |
