While reading that riddle about the three men in a triangle trying to shoot each other I though of a game we could play.

Rules

Each person gets to choose their defense and shooting skill (as a percentage and in 10% increments) which, when added, equalls 100%. But you cant choose more than 80% for either, that is the only restriction. Your skills will be with you for the whole game, you dont get to choose different skills each round, so pick wisely

All percentages are submitted to me by email and will not be revealed untill you die.

Each person will choose one target per round, again submitted to me and will not be revealed. At the end of the round I will reveal who has been killed AND who has doged a bullet/s.

It will be a last man standing competition, and in the event of a tie I will put on a playoff untill one person is the winner.

The odds of shooting a person are achieved by multiplying the shooter's pistol skill by 100% minus dodging skill of the attacked.

Example

Person A: 30% shooting 70% Dodging
Person B: 40% shooting 60% Dodging

Therefore if they shoot at each other the odds of death are:

Person A: 12%
Person B: 12%

End of Example

The only way to find out someone's defensive skill is to watch how many bullets they dodge

To work out who gets killed I was thinking of using a random number generator (1-100 and depending on the number picked and the percentage decide the killing.

Eg, in the above example of 12% death, numbers 1-12 would mean death and 13-100 would mean life. What do you think of this method, there has to be a better way, any advide would be great.

We have 18 people, we could have two nine people games with the top two from each group going into the final of four. Or a big game. I will wait a little longer and see.

PS: I cant stop you from negotiating with each other, but since it is a free for all I would urge you not to.

Send in your offense and defence percentages now. Label all emails: "The Great Pistol Shootout" and make sure to put your name in the email.

Entries are closed. It will be an 19 person game.

I forgot, also send in who you choose to shoot. You have 24 hours to send in your emails or you forfeit your chance to shoot and I will randomly choose your offense and defence for you
