If your computer is set up for Shockwave animation, here is a site worth checking out, showing many creation myths from around the world. For each one, there are also (text-only) introductory-level sections dealing with the religion and culture connected with the story.
The animation for the stories is sparse but engaging, and salted with just enough humor so as not to be obtrusive. (Occasional inadvertant humor as well--check out the Aztec myth for a uniquely original excuse for an illicit pregnancy!) My interest was piqued enough that I checked out some of the culture/religion sections, which I might not have done had I not viewed the stories beforehand. (Wherefore I decided to post this here rather than in OT.)
Incidentally, can anyone guess which story was my favorite?

| I like the 18th century gentlemens fistycuffs in the Celtic one. Highly amusing. |
