Some Tagalog (Filipino):

salamat (saw-LAW-mott): Thank you
Walang ano man: you're welcome (lit: it's nothing)
oo (oh-oh): yes
hindi (hihn-DEE): no

My favorite Filipino language story:
My cousin was on the train with my aunt and uncle one day. He doesn't know too much Tagalog. After one stop, he came running up to his parents, saying something about two guys who had their own language that consisted of saying one sound over and over again.

[filipino grammar lesson]
baba (buh-BAH): down
we verb our nouns. so to make down the future tense verb, repeat the first syllable
bababa (BAH-buh-BAH): will go down (get off the train)
to make it a question, add "ba" to the end
bababa ba?: are you going down (getting off) the train?
to answer in the affirmative, it's more polite to say "I'm going down/getting off the train" than a just a simple "yes"
[/fgl]

So the conversation between the two guys:
"Bababa ba?"
"Bababa"
