If we all play like nice children and vote "keep" every single person will come out the better. So say everyone agrees to be a "keeper". At least 10% of you will choose to stealthily steal away as "takers". This idea occurs to so many people that the end result is practically all "takers" and thus, all are losers.
Hrmm...strategies, strategies, never been good with them. Any suggestions to help curve away from this potential disaster? Suggestions of everyone "play nice" are to be considered cautiously...although I, personally, don't have a better idea....yet. |

I would have to say that this challenge is better suited for teamwork.. The last one wasn't going to happen but I think that this one could possibly work out.. what does everyone else think? Anyone want to work together?

I'll bet my Grandma's platinum gallstones that there is at least one person who will take just to spoil the game for everyone else. There is no way I'm going to trust you lot after what happened in the last challenge. One person bit 1000, just to win, even though they are now on the bottom of the heap. Human nature just doesn't allow for this kind of goodness and cooperation.
A thought:
The teach drew a comparison between the last challenge and Amazon.com. Perhaps we could better understand what we have to do if we look for a similarity between this situation and something else in the New Economy?
~Queso Fresco
One of the most favorite Mexican cheeses, it is based on the Spanish cheese Burgos. It is fresh cheese of various sizes and shapes made from the mixture of cow's and goat's milk. The cheese has a grainy feel and very mild, fresh acidity. Queso Fresco is used for grilling and baking and it can also be used in salads. It softens but does not melt when heated.

| Hey everyone, GOOD call on not cooperating on the last challenge, I was a bit disappointed in class today when he told us only 3 people actually had the BALLS to try to cooperate and bid 1, nice work, NOT. Why don’t we pull our heads out this time and be smart!! |

Sorry Allaround1, but I'm afraid that the most of us weren't as trusting as you. I didn't think that someone would bid 1000, but I knew that there was no way to get all of us to bid just 1. No need to get freaked out about this just because you got stabbed in the back for being too trusting
Oh, ya. You can count on all of us not cooperating on the next challenge. I would like to work together, but I know at least 1 person won't.
Disgusted with human nature,
~Reggianito
Similar to Italian Parmigiano Reggiano, mostly used for grating. The popular cheese is Reggianito. Because the loaf is smaller, its name is the diminutive in Spanish for the Italian, hard cheese Reggiano. It is made from milk, produced by cows which are pasture fed. Cured longer than competitive, it has an excellent taste and is perfect for cooking or a topping on pasta. |

| well he makes it pretty clear that if we all stick together we'll all be winners. but i really doubt that will happen, i can just see us posting that we're birds of a feather and then either we all take or there's gonna be just a few and they'll make some pretty good bank...geez, now that i said this..i'm paranoid, i almost think everyone for themselve...oh well...i say we all work together on this one, but hey that's just one person.. |

| hey people lets all work together like the teach said, thats the only way we are going to get ahead in this game. If we all "keep" then we all we be better off, then if say 10% take and then the keepers get less. Though, you probably think I am just saying this to get ahead, by "taking", I am not. You know my bid, lets see if it works out better this time by sticking and working together. peace |

| Ok guys. If there is ever a time to trust it's now. Seriously, we're all going to end up in the negative & losers if we take. Let's follow our fearless leader's suggestion & work together. KEEP! It would definately be more beneficial to all. YOU CAN DO IT! |

*Cheese enters Online Project Anonymous*
Hi. I'm Cheese, and I'm a taker.
("Hi Cheese!")
I've often been very greedy when it came to the online project. I wanted everything for myself. Now, I'm in real trouble.
("Awwwwww....")
I know I should be more cooperative with everyone else in the class, but I need help. I have the will to change, but its so hard.
("Yes, yes, uh-hu. We feel your pain Cheese.")
But, thanks to my sponsor, I'm doing much better. Yesterday, I wanted to e-mail the professor and say "Take all!" But, fortunately for me, my sponsor came over and we talked till that feeling went away.
("Good job Cheese!") |

I also think that the best way to go is to have everyone keep. Although there is bound to be a few takers, maybe the shocking results from the first challenge will make people realize that for this one it would be best to cooperate. Now this doesn't mean I trust any of you, I simply have no choice. No one person can "win" this game on their own, so I hope everyone will work together and help each other out. OUR fate is in OUR hands.

Okay, this is all a bunch of bull; in reality I think that about 50% of all 50 of us are going to be takers, and the other half, keepers. Sure it would be warm and fuzy to all be keepers, but no matter what-the takers will come out ahead(for better or worse), look at the stats. Even if the majority choose to keep, the select few that decide to take will come out tremendously ahead- so it makes you ask yourself, will I be a TAKER, or a keeper. Its inevitable

I love it! I'm not from Utah either. Its true that the majority of people here automatically assume that you are Mormon and therefore some sort of semi-naive nice-guy. I can't tell you how annoying it is when people notice I am religious, and then ask me what ward I go to. I want to respond "And what shrine do you worship at?" I've only met a few Mormons who didn't have a narrow-minded perspective of "everyone not Mormon is evil", and "everyone nice is Mormon".
~Ulloa
Ulloa is a semi-soft cheese that comes from Spain, Galicia. The cheese is similar to Tetilla, differing only in the shape. Ulloa is made from cow's milk. The affinage takes one month and the fat content is 45%. |

| Hey cheese, I agree with you completely... and heres the kicker, I'm mormon, and yes that was my quote. But you know what the funniest part is... now they are going to say that I am a bad mormon cause I say stuff like this.. he he. I disagree with what the majority says, I am very active and very strong, and it has nothing to do pretexts. I get along with everyone, no matter religion or race, it really shouldn't matter.. so why does it? |

| Am I misunderstanding the rules? - Seems to me that the "keepers" sure don't get to keep much no matter what the "takers" get. I pushed the big TRUST concept last time and got burned!!! It would be really easy for me to become a taker this time around. What do you think??? Hmmm..... |

| Chocolate: What is there to misunderstand? Take or Keep, either vote is just as easy as the other, for they both are 4 letters, thus neither would be more difficult to type than the other. |

Well at least this game isn't like the last one where on bid can throw you out of it. No in this game to maximize full potential some will have to work together because if only one takes they still get nothing if I understand the table right it takes at least 5 people to take to get the most points maybe up to 9 it depending on how he chooses to round up the percentages. So that would mean that we would have to form some sort of alliances. Any "takers" well for an alliance anyways.

| Well, it looks like we weren't able to come to an agreement again so we stuck in the same situation that lots will get little and few will get lots. The tough part is knowing which side to vote on... we should probly try to work together next time... |

| Hey I hope everyone decides to keep. Playing this game makes me mad because this is exactly how the business world is. There are a lot of people that are lying cheeting backstabers. I am not looking forward to working with people like that. I think we should try to work together on this game like if it were our business. If we all work together then we will all win and our business will grow. Keep! |

I have a question - What happens to the points of the people who do not post? Do they get any points taken away for not posting?
Is there any correlation between those people on top and those who hadn't posted as of this morning (info from teacher's post)? Out of the top ten people so far, seven hadn't posted for this new challenge (as of the teacher's post this morning). Any thoughts? |

Good job everybody!!! It looks like the back-stabbing policy works best! We all know exactly what will happen. Everyone (or at least 90% of ya) will take. With this in mind, what do you think that Marion's point will be by having this online project? Either way he will get his point across. Working together creates the best results. On this challenge, you will always come out ahead of the "keepers" if you take. So what!!! Why not WORK TOGETHER. If not on this challenge how about the next. Who cares about the stupid greedy person who wants more than their share. It is just a game, how about for once we see what happens if we will collaborate.
Regardless of what I know the outcome to be I will keep. |

Slovakian supple and elastic, hard cheese of round shape with natural rind. This cheese has been made for centuries in the Carpathian Mountains. The method of production is quite simple. The mixture of cow's and sheep's milk is pressed into balls and hung to dry from the ceilings of mountain chalets. The cheese has a sweet flavor and the period of ripening is two to three months. |
