You need to know where to get a book report for it? Far be it from me to pass judgment on anothers motives, but can't you, you know, write one yourself? Or is the reading part too hard?

Here's a book report for you. Send it to your teacher, and you'll surely get an A.

On the Beach is a book about a beach. If you like beaches, then read this book!

Yes, there are smart people who are professional about things. I am a professional educator. Part of that is not aiding plagarism.

Heh. The operative word is "help", Quailman. I believe Antrax was assuming that younger GLers wouldn't be semantically challenged enough that they would think "help" meant "a link to a book report that I can print out, scrawl my name on the top of, and turn in sans attribution, thus saving me the effort of actually doing any work and saving my teacher the effort of actually grading it, as he or she will quickly determine that the complexity of the prose is far beyond anything I could produce."

The idea is simple; anyone can ask for help with homework. However, much like Lilifreid said, I can't force anyone into giving someone help they think is unfair. Personally I'd rather everybody helped anyone who asked for help of any kind, and left the moral considerations to the people asking. Many people used my homework as their own last semester, and I had no problem with it -- it just meant they were less prepared for the test, which they had to take alone. And even if they cheat on the tests, they're going to know the material less well, so they'll impress future employers less, and again I benefit on the long run.

Antrax: you don't really want the GL to be known as a place where plagiarists can come and get their work handed to them without even the minimal effort of websearching for it, do you? It's an image thing.
Lunar: I hope your teacher finds the site you got the report from.

I remember reading On the Beach back in high school. I rather liked it. And that's saying something since I was never a big book fan. I think it was the dark apocalypse theme that fascinated me.
I identified with the professor who fatalistically bought the sports car.

Lunar, it's not so much that we are not able to help you, it's that some of us have certain morals. We're not going to stop you from cheating (well, i can't guarantee that some member won't track down your teacher's email) but if you try to get us to help you, you can expect us to be condescending about it. Asking people to do your homework for you is a good way not to make friends around here.

Track his teacher's email and do what, exactly?
"Dear Teacher,
One of your students, whose name I don't know, has probably cheated on his book report. You may rely on my information, as I'm a complete stranger who has no bearing to anything whatsoever. Also, I am named after a germ.
Yours,
Antrax"

Damn seems I was wrong, I hate the student teacher but now I hate her even more, she got me for plagurism and gave me a zero and I failed the 9 weeks because of the zero. Only reason I failed was because another kid in the class had the same exact paper and she looked into it..oh well damn...I still can pass though.

You know the warm fuzzy feeling you get when someone blows past you on the freeway, right into the speedtrap, and then you pass them after the cop pulls them over?

This feels a lot like that

No, the only reason you failed is that you thought you could get credit for work you hadn't done, and you therefore lied.

That's classic. He doesn't see his cheating as the reason he failed - just that some other kid bla bla bla and the teacher bla bla bla.

To say nothing, of course, of the fact that LunarsRevenge hates his teacher for this. How dare she go and uncover his cheating? How dare she give him a zero for it?

Honestly, LunarsRevenge, if we've learned anything from Richard Clarke, I thought it was that sometimes the right thing to do, after making a mistake, is to sigh and say, "All right, I admit it, I was at fault."

I thought when I read

I would never laugh harder in my life. It just describes him completely. "I don't care that I can't understand you, I got meself something free!". But in the true habit of free stuff either being [invisble]crap[/invisible] or broken we hear
