I've been googling for the past hour, trying to find what font are used in many manga books. I can;t seem to find any information about it. Does anyone know what the font is called, and where I can download the font?

If no information comes up on that, does anyone know how to make a font?

To clarify, the font is used in this manga page.

I'm not going to say it's that exact font, because I don't think it is. However, I will say that it is very similar to the font used on the webcomic Planet Earth (and other tourist traps). (Warning--the current Planet Earth storyline is not suitable for young audiences.)

I've just checked, and the Planet Earth font is called "Wildandcrazy".

Is that font close enough for you to use?

Actually, that font looks like it's hand-written, as the "i"s differ and slight differences between two letters that are right next to each other. I'm 99.9% positive that, for manga books, the japanese is just edited out and replaced with english text, all done on a computer.

Scratch the above. Do you know where I can download the font?

I found an acceptable font at http://www.blambot.com/dialogue.html . It's called "Digital Strip."

The current font I use for Planet Earth (and other tourist traps) is Tim Sale, a Comicraft font. Prior to that, I used Wild and Crazy, also from Comicraft. (They're at comicbookfonts.com .) Like Lucky Wizard said, there are many good free fonts available at blambot.com -- I use the Manga Temple font in the L'il Ninjas strip and several other of the dialogue fonts in other works. The content at blambot changes; new fonts are added and old fonts are removed, so be sure to visit often to get the newest stuff.
