comeuppance

n.
A punishment or retribution that one deserves; one's just deserts: “It's a chance to strike back at the critical brotherhood and give each his comeuppance for evaluative sins of the past” (Judith Crist).

(I have been trying to enter this word in my speech, anyway! )

Pyrrhic-- adj. (of victory) achieved at too great a cost.

(note: Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com had it capitalised, while Little Oxford (from where the nice concise definition is taken) had it uncapitalised.)

Our assignment in my theory of knowledge class last week was to make up a word that could be used in class and elsewhere and see if we can logically incorporate it into our language. I invite you to spread the word.

Sequoivolous - adj. having difficulty clearly communicating a feeling, concept, or idea; hard to put into words.

We each suggested two letters and then chose from those suggested letters to put together our word. The meaning we decided on beforehand.

Logodiarrhea: Excessive loquacity.

Not a word in English, but should be; borrowed from a Greek term that literally means exactly what it looks like

Ironically, I realise probably me: I am always putting my foot in my mouth and have all of these other interpretations prevading my posts because I am unclear just that much. Never mind. I thought that was EEEM's word about not being able to express oneself. Still, I am a bit of Pelonius every now and then, not realising that 'brevity is the soul of wit'.

BTW, we do have such a word: 'logorrhea'.

Hey, I need help with a word.

If I want to convey that something is constantly changing, evolving, keeping up with the current state of needs by the mass, what word should I use?

Specifically, to describe an email service. My boss want to say "The Next Evolution of Email", but I don't think evolution or evole is the right word to use here.
