Heh. I was confused throughout most of the show. I suggest that, when you finish watching episode 26 (make sure to watch past the credits on that episode), you watch the whole season again.

Trigun is my fav anime i am looking for another anime to get into what would you rather?

I like the concept of shooting very good like vash can.
And you should try Rouni Kenshin manga.

I don't really like Rurouni Kenshin. I suggest L/R, but I've only seen one episode of that. I guess Cowboy Bebop would be good, too.

Oh, and one more thing:

I'm going to the AnimeNEXT Convention!!!!
I'll be there on Saturday, June 19th. It's already too late to pre-register, but it's only $30 for admission on Saturday. I'll be dressed as Naota Nandaba, the main character from Furi Kuri.

Reference images for Naota (scroll down to the first purple box.)

Cowboy Bebop is now my favorite Anime series of all time.

I am feeling a void because I have finished the last episode (Wow) over the weekend.

Are there more Bebops coming? (I already seen the movie). Is the director going to create another Bebop series.

Please say it is so!

I don't know. I don't really like those fighting animes that much. I'm more into the shôjo stuff.

(shô•jo (sho'jo) n. 1. Manga appealing to both female and male readers. 2. Exciting stories with true-to-life characters and the thrill of exotic locales. 3. Connecting the heart and mind through real human relationships.)

I finally saw Kill Bill, vol 1. Why did they put the anime in there? Was it to save money on the overall film? ~thumbs down~

You can at least put some effort into learning about the things you don't know about! Sheeesh! Something like, "hmmm ... I don't know the answer to that question, but I'll watch the movie/look up the answer for you! You lazy peice of turd!" Or you can at least make up answers and speculate, like

"I believe that Taratino put in the Anime section to the movie Kill Bill! simply because he's a weird and eccentric film maker, always trying to push the envelope. Either that or he's a lazy piece of turd. But don't hold me to that."

"Cowboy bebops might or might not have another series coming out. I can safely say that the director was certainly going to or not going to make a sequel or a spinoff from the original series. This I can be sure about."

My point is, you should really only learn about topics that you want to know about, not anything that you don't know. I didn't want to know about Kill Bill, simply because it looked like a lot of action/fighting type stuff, and my interests do not include that. Learning that Kill Bill had an anime sequence was interesting, but the movie still doesn't interest me.

CTB: The reason there's anime in Kill Bill, Vol. 1, is that Quentin Tarrantino takes a lot of drugs. I've attempted to watch the movie while intoxicated, myself, to see if the artistic parts make more sense. They don't. He's just high all the time and does what looks cool to him.
It does work, though, IMO

I just finished watching Serial Expiriments Lain. Only one word can describe it.

WOW.

That is one of the top three anime shows that I've ever seen, easily surpassing NGE. I suggest that everyone who reads this post go watch all 13 episodes, and then go tell one or two or two hundred sixteen friends about how great it is.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from the AnimeNEXT Convention in New Jersey. I went as Naota Nandaba from FLCL, and ran into a Mamimi and a Haruko. I took about 15 or so pictures (which I will post at a later date), and I got a lot of new anime: L/R (discs 1-4), Someday's Dreamers (discs 1-3), and .hack//sign (discs 1-3, 5, 6).

That is all for now, as I'm kinda tired and I have a killer headache.

I saw a couple episodes of some really really really really weird anime thingy. It was called Boogiepop. It had a dark sort of atmosphere. Really really bizarre. Anyone want to explain wtf was going on? I can't even begin to describe it.

I think you mean Boogiepop Phantom (or Boogiepop Wa Warawanai). Is this description correct?

Quote:
A scream in the night, and in that instant the world changed ... or at least, it appeared to. There have always been forces in the world and voices in the night: some friendly and other malevolent. Invisible until summoned; they slide through dimensions as people walk through doorways. They wait, and watch the doings of Man closely ... each for their own reasons. Sometimes, they appear ... and when they do, the world changes.

Everyone knows about Boogiepop: meet her one dark night and you are taken. People tell each other the stories and laugh: no one believes that she exists in this day and age. Still, there are some strange things that appear to be going on just below the surface. Darkness takes many forms, though. Evil and good intermingle. The glass shatters. Time stands still. There is something in the darkness. You aren't alone. Are you safe?

Five years ago, there was a string of grisly murders that shook the city to its core ... and in the present, psychic echoes reverberate.

It does look like a very strange anime. From what I hear, the set of main characters changes every episode, which can get confusing. I remember my friends talking about this once, but none of them really liked it, so I didn't really think I'd enjoy it (all my friends seem to have about the same tastes).

Edited the thread starter.

I've been plowing through .hack//sign kinda fast. I really like it. I'm also watching Initial D, which I'm borrowing from my friend. I have to wait for him to buy disc 2, though. I've also read through all of MegaTokyo (www.megatokyo.com), and I find it to be a really good online comic. Make sure to skip over the stick figure days. Revenge most foul!

Just finished RahXephon. I quite enjoyed it except for the very end. Also would now recommend Trigun and if you want some treacly stuff, Galaxy Angels. I just started on Tenchi Muyo which seems like great fun. Even my wife wants to watch it with me after walking by and catching some of the nudie scenes. Razz

4 was recommended ages ago by Internet Stranger, for some reason when I brought up the film (not anime) Octobber Sky.

I've only watched 1/2 of Wings of Honnemaise, and haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies yet.

The kids like Kiki's Delivery Service, but they love Totoro. I like it too. Very imaginative. And you can also see many stylistic similarities to Miyazaki's Spirited Away (which I've also come to appreciate more on further watching).
