Personally, I think it looks cool. Maybe too much of a Hakenkreuz, but still cool looking.
The reason sucks ass though.

In my opinion, the flag should change until the day one of the nations of Great Britain leave the union (if ever). Then modify the flag accordingly.

I like the original flag better. There's no reason I see to change it. Slapping a few black lines on something doesn't make it new. But that's the point. A countries flag is something that stays the same through the years. It's a constant, like Cher...umm.. somethin like that..

Personally, the new version seems to have a sort of a nazi/fascist undertone to it. Disturbing in a way that's admittedly hard to define. Black bars framing the Union Jack? Why not just put a mailed fist in the middle of it?

I just don't understand how colours that DON'T represent people's skin tones are now being labelled as NOT representative of a diverse multi-ethnic country. The colours before did not specifically represent people, they represented at least some of the UK countries, so why isn't the flag still good enough to represent the entire UK?

I love experiencing different cultures and influences from different countries and ethnic groups within my own country, but I'm still Canadian, and so should everyone who is a Canadian citizen.

A flag should represent where you call home, not where you're from.
