He asked whether there was another word for "synonym".
Per "dictionary.com" there are many.

Synonyms: analogue, annotation, answer, characterization, clarification, clue, comment, commentary, cue, delimitation, delineation, demarcation, denotation, determination, diagnosis, drift, elucidation, exemplification, explanation, explication, exposition, expounding, fixing, formalization, gloss, individuation, interpretation, key, outlining, rationale, rendering, rendition, representation, settling, signification, solution, terminology, translation

I think this is important.

With all this wisdom amassed in one place, the younger crowd will probably be too intimidated to set foot in here. Me might hear from Chuck, however.

And you're probably too young to remember his original characters, Al Sleet, the hippie weatherman, and Al Pouch, the hippie mailman.

As Al Sleet, he'd do these stoned weather forecasts on a fictitious TV station. They were hilarious.

Monday: "Hey, some of you may have been surprised a little by the weather this weekend, especially those of you who watched my show on Friday".

As Al Pouch, he'd reach into his mailbag and open people's mail and read it on the air, adding in his stoned hippie comments.

It was great, but he's maintained his edge for his entire career.

I don't remember that directly... though it does sound familier. The first thing that I can actively remember was "The Carlin Show" and that was very recent.

Those first three posts gave me a laugh. Is it time to repost IS's picture of Mike and his wife?
