What's happening when? I can't get away overnight, but Magness will be in town on Saturday evening, and we could get to Tyler then and back to Dallas at a decent hour. Or the same thing on Sunday early afternoon might work.

I know I haven't been around much lately... but most of the people on the list were here when I posted more often, and I'm trying to come back.

I'm arriving in Tyler mid-afternoon on Saturday. As I understand it, Lepton's arrival time won't be set until he can get to a US bus statioon on Thursday. I suspect that we'll not be up for much excitement on Saturday, though. Travel is somewhat tiring. Moreso by bus than plane, I think.

I don't really post much, but I live in Tyler. Would it be creepy if I joined in for part of the convention anyway?

CC, I'd say Sunday afternoon would probably be the best bet. I need to call up Mith and see what he and Luna have plotted out for themselves and when they'll be able to join us. I saw them today, but they didn't see me, despite my yelling. I was at work, so I couldn't yell too loud. But it'd be great to meet you guys, so I'm sure we can work something out for Sunday afternoon. Nothing I have planned is on a strict schedule.

Doormouse, you're more than welcome! I haven't seen you in forever, it seems. Check back here or drop me an email and I'll let you know what we're doing, and when.

Alright, I'll see what I can do on Sunday. We can either leave my place at 11:00 (as soon as church lets out... my parents are going to be unhappy enough when I inform them I'm going to Tyler to meet people from the internet, I don't think I ought to compound it by skipping church), or at noonish, having eaten. Mapquest gives me roughly two hours Richardson-Tyler, so around 1 or 2 we could be there. Magness has to get back to Waco that evening, having dropped me off in Richardson first, which is around four hours total drive time, so we'll have to leave no later than six. Let me know where we might find you during that time.

I doubt we'll be roused early morning after the boys long day of travelling Saturday, so getting here either 1 or 2 would be fine. We won't have been up and about for long. We could meet up anywhere. You're welcome to come by my house and we could all figure out something from there. If you don't mind waiting to eat till you get here that might be a nice 'getting to know you' event... Just eat at some local place. By 1:30ish the church crowds will probably have cleared out. Just give me a time you want to arrive and I'll arrange around you guys since you'll be coming in just for us, and I've got the boys for a few more days after that.

Hey, you guys want to meet for lunch or something maybe? We're not likely to actually go to six flags (because, like, it costs money), so things are kinda flexible.

Well, the Canadian has been met. We also went to Armadillo Willy's for food:

Chicken Fried Chicken
Chicken Fried Steak
Chicken Fried Ribeye
Fried Mushrooms
Nachos

(I'll leave it as a puzzle to guess who got what )

Anyway, yeah. Pirateboy gets here tomorrow, or something.

Today we went to a crazy flea market. Squee got a sword. Lepton fell in love with a rooster... It was all good.

Crazycellist and Magness were here today. There were 8 Glers at my house altogether. Pretty sizable group. We played some screwy game that involved deciding whether or not you wanted to eat 25 jars of mayo or drink a can of motoroil... and something about pickle juice and mop water. I forget. We had a pretty fun time, me thinks. We also played the obligatory GL-convention game of mafia. Very spiteful.

There are pictures, but glpics is acting up right now, so you'll have to wait.

That wouldn't be Zobmondo: The game of 'Would you rather....?" would it? Because i love that game. Especially when it involves things that can be found in the house, and you actually try some of them out. Just don't try "Would you rather swallow broken glass or get hit in the eye with an arrow?"

That was, in fact, the name of the game. A great time was had by all.

I'll be away until Friday at my last church camp of the summer. I thought I ought to tell y'all that I'd had fun before I disappeared, so you didn't think you'd scared me off. But I've got to go finish packing now. I leave in fifteen minutes, and I just remembered that there are no shirts in my suitcase.

I lost Lepton this morning. When DPW got out of the shower he was gone and no one knew where to. I was still asleep. My mom woke me up and told me he had disappeared. So we got in the car and drove around looking for him. He had been missing about an hour and a half, and we were about to give up and go home when we saw him walking down the street. He'd gone exploring. He left us a note, we just didn't see it.

Pictures of the group as promised:

These were taken at a local ice cream shop right before crazycellist and Magness had to go home.

Here's a photo I took with Squee actually in the shot... Everyone looking relatively happy.

And here, Squee and I switched, and everyone looks a mite peeved. I wonder what happened.

I woke up the other morning at 9, which left me 3 hours before I was expected to show my shiny face, and I decided to take a walk. I guess I'm not very good at leaving notes.

Vinny, I couldn't agree with you more. I'm having the time of my life.And may I say that Elissa is too bloody hot for words. :eyes;
If it wasn't so hot, I'd swear I was in heaven.

Official Putt-Putt Scorecard. y0. The names are real, to confuse and baffle the online people.

code:
Hole	Danny	Phil	Elissa	Chris

1 4 2 3 2
2 3 2 4 3
3 2 4 2 2
4 2 2 5 2
5 2 2 3 1
6 4 2 2 3
7 2 2 2 2
8 2 2 5 2
9 2 2 3 2
10 3 2 2 2
11 5 3 5 2
12 4 3 2 2
13 5 2 1 3
14 1* 2 2 2
15 4 2 3 2
16 1 1 2 2
17 4 2 3 3
18 4 2 2 4
Total 54 39 51 41

*He didn't actually get a hole in one.
This hole has a ramp up to a big target thing,
where you hit the ball into one of the sections,
and then it comes out down in another area.
We told Lepton that if he managed to hit the ball
so that it made it *out* of the barrel thing,
we'd give him a hole in one.

It almost made it to the street.
