Today I had a 'Candy-rama'. This is the coolest and sweetest thing I have ever eaten. And now I have toothache, and a huge stomach. ^_^

It contains:
4 profiteroles
2 large scoops of Mars ice cream
2 large scoops of M & M's ice cream
2 large scoops of toffee ice cream
A coconut teacake
A whole Mars bar, cut into 4 pieces
A whole packet of choc M & M's
About 1/2 a can of squirty cream

This is served in a glass container the approximate size and shape of your average goldfish bowl. With as many spoons as there are people who want to eat. We split it between 3 of us, and we couldn't finish it. hehehe

Taking up drinking has caused me to put on about 20 pounds. I'm now on the Atkin's low carb diet, and walking four miles a day, doing fifty situps a day, and twenty pushups. I'll probably start swimming a few laps a day too when I get used this shock that I've already given my body.

In the mean time, I'm eating a lot of protein, and only 20 grams of carbs per day.... you know what that means? No more Top Ramen. woe is me.

[edit: not on Atkins... to... now on Atkins]

The Atkins diet sucks big time. Even after you've got down to your desired weight, you've got to restrict your carb intake for the rest of your life! That means kiss goodby to bread, pasta, rice, noodles and potatoes...

My wife is on the Atkins diet. She gets Michelob Ultra beer. Its like cutting real beer with water - 1 part beer to 2 parts water. I've resorted to it when I run out of real beer. And therein lies the main problem with my diet. I favor stout, which makes one stout. I've managed to cut back and simply not have one on alternate days, and only one on the others. That, along with not clearing my boys' plates if they don't eat everything and working out on the treadmill has slimmed me down noticeably. Also, I haven't had a donut in several months - someone usually brings in a few dozen on Fridays at my office.

I just can't reconcile in my mind that a diet that is centered around things like bacon and pork rinds could possibly be healthy.

No no no. You can break the Atkins diet when you hit desired weight, but you have to keep up the excercise and watch your weight. If you put on a few pounds, then it's back to limited carbs.

You have to understand this about me:

I never work out. I play video games most of the time. I eat whatever the hell I want. All of this was fine until I started drinking. For some reason, that either slowed my metobolism down, or I just had too much of a good thing and it now shows. My six pack is no more. Even without working out, I had a slender figure, and a six pack. Now I have to start working out. I think if I stick to the diet and walking four miles a day, I should lose the weight that I've put on. Once I'm at my ideal weight, I'll stop with the diet, but keep up with the walking, situps and pushups. I should be okay... I hope.

Don't get too thin... being really thin makes people less huggy... does this mean you're giving up the Mexican food? It's bad enough you're denying yourself the awesome power of noodles... bah. And Vogue thinks I'm overweight. Seriously.

My mom is doing the no carb diet too. I pity her.

I care not about my weight. I eat whatever I want. I don't exercise very much. I've lost 20 pounds over the summer and I have no idea why. I haven't been eating better. Maybe a little less because my work schedule usually screws up my normal eating times, but not enough less to merit 20 pounds. And when DPW and Lepton were here I ate like a pig and ate stuff that was really bad for me, and I didn't gain any back. Maybe my metabolism changed by itself.

Everyone talks about the freshman 15... but I'll be eating healthier food at college than I do here. Maybe I'll lose more weight.

I plan to eat a frozen pizza for lunch today.
