There's what are you eating, and listening to...so why not?

Unless I'm mistaken, most people here are avid readers. Get crackin'!

I'm reading "The Devil's Apocrypha: There Are Two Sides to Every Story" by John A. De Vito.
Hoo-yeah!

Nightrunner Series, by Lynn Flewelling. (3 books) It's very good fantasy material, IF you know what you're going to expect (especially in book two).

Ender's Shadow bye Orson Scott Card. Parallel novel to Ender's Game. Excellent read, both of them. (duh)

also, Talon of the Silver Hawk by Feist. It's his new one, still set in Midkemia (w00t!) but long after the Demonwars.

Forests of the Heart by Charles de Lint. Beartalon recommended him, this was one of only three de Lint books the bookstore had. Starts off a little bit slow, but picks up pretty quickly - very good so far.

I am currently reading The Reader by Bernard Schlink.

I've read a few Haruki Murakami including Sputnik Sweetheart, but not Norweigan Wood. My favorite was Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, but I liked Sputnik Sweetheart too.

Pi - I liked it. Not as much as other Murakami books I've read but it very readable. It's less surreal than everything else I've read by him and more personal and emotional. It's one of those books where you're sorry to come to the end of the last page. In a word it's very...intriguing.

Samadhi, i happen to own it

The whole series is excellent. Prince of the Blood is pretty good too, although set later on.

The Demonwar saga that takes place chronologically when Jimmy the hand grows up to become Duke James of Krondor is not as good as the riftwar books. It's not about James, however, it has entirely new characters, for the most part. Just at then end when pug's pov takes over is when you find a familiar character, and also a bit with James toward the end, but not very much of him.

his new trilogy, set even further in the future, when the demonwar children have grown up, so far compares well with the riftwar series. I haven't finished the book yet, but i'm close.

Cool. I thought the 4th one was better than the 3rd one (I thought it the weakest of the 4). But I'm sure you know who I meant about having read it. You know. The black guy.

Oh yeah! I bought a copy of Matt Groening's (he also does the simpsons, in case you are stupid) "work is hell" for twenty-three cents at a library book sale. Inside, I found a large drawing of binky (the main character), along with his signature, straight out of 1985. w00t!

Right now, I'm re-reading "the vampire lestat"

I'm reading the sequel to The Still, The King by David Feintuch and Holy Shjit! It's farging good!
Just ask Hy, Is, Vinny and Huey. I'm a fairly stoic dude. And this book has been so emotionally pervasive that it has made me laugh out loud several times and cry twice.

It's really, really good.
