Kd's first game! ^_^ Realm of Darkness Signup

Hey hey, I've been wanting to start my very own adventure thingy, so here it is. If you want to signup, then do it here, but first I suppose I should explain the game.

Realm of Darkness is a quest to bring an ancient artefact back from a fortress. However, as is always the case, things are a little more complicated... It is a long and dangerous journey, and the fortress is heavily guarded and trap-laden. Many dark and evil forces are at work along the way.

You can pick what type of living... thing... you want to be from this list:
<B> Magician (not Wizard. I'm talking card tricks and such.)
Oracle (An Oracle can forsee certain events.)
Archer/Swordsman (You get a choice of types of arrows or swords.)
Human (With ONE special ability only.)
Ogre (complete with wooden club! ^_^)
Mutant (To be a Mutant, you must pick an animal to fuse with.)
Animal (Your choice of animal must be able to live on land.)
Ninja (With TWO weapons only.)
Faerie (Elemental or Spirit.)
Elf (Elves have ONE physical and TWO mental capabilities.) </B>

There can be as many of each type of creature as sign up, so go for whatever you want, and you must specify all necessary information about your character when you sign up.

R of D starts next Monday, the 6th January, at 7PM Greenwich Mean Time.

Will the players be working together or separately? And if together, can some be 'left behind' asleep or something if they fail to participate for a bit of time?

And what special abilities COULD be chosen? I mean is there some kind of introductory reading for the newbies? A website that could help or something?

Oh and Kd, most people who are not living in Europe haven't a clue what Greenwich mean time translates into here in GL time. It's not a big deal, but you might want to see what the GL time is when you're usually on, and let people know what it is

Sivat: What kind of arrows do you want?

pikachamp: You're in. And yes, your tiger will be able to speak.

CrystyB: OK, quick overview, especially for you. ^_^

Players will travel, eat and sleep etc. as one group. Along the journey, there will be tasks, fights and puzzles, and each player must nominate the required number of people to undertake the challenge (for example, 2 players could be nominated to do battle.) The nominations must be in by 4 PM GMT the day after the challenge is set, and if there is no clear majority in votes, then the people who take the challenge will be decided by the order in which they were nominated.

Those people who are away for any amount of time are considered 'resting' and will need to be transported along by the rest of the group, or left in a safe place to catch up later. Anyone who decides to quit will be killed in a nasty way.

The special abilities can be almost anything, but they must be relevant to your quest (so no ability to attract women!) Arrows and swords can be lightning, fire, poison, or normal. Physical abilities include (but are not limited to) superhuman running or jumping, invulnerability to swords, arrows or bullets, mastery of a certain martial art, the ability to fly. Mental abilities include (but are also not limited to) telekenesis, prediction, psychic ability, telepathy.

I'm sorry, but I don't have a site for this because it's a one-off thing that I just came up with, and i wouldn't be able to get web hosting and finish the HTML in time for the start of the game. If you need more information, then post a reply and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Name: Ishida Hirata[this is my favorite japanese name so dont take it]

Age: 26

Race: Human

Weapons: Ki sword that can never be broken, smoke bombs, poison ninja stars


Ki energy is in everybody but it takes many years to learn how to sommon and control it. Ki energy can make the person in control superhuman in every aspect physically. Ki energy can also be formed into bunches of energy and launched from the hand. Ki energy can leave the body in any openings[sweat glands and eyes].

Background History: Ishida Hirata comes from the lands in the east. In the east powerful warlords fight massive battles and their soldiers use ki energy[they dont have alot so they just hype up their strength and perception]to better themselves in battle. Men known as samurai fight with unique swords that can be fused with ki energy[to make it stronger].

Ishida Hirata has come to learn the secrets of the ancient artifact as he beleves it has the secret of how this world was created and why ki energy was given to humans. Ishida Hirata is wise and powerful and is very dangerous. The lands in the east have many who can hide themselves from even the most keen eye[a.k.a. ninja's]

OK then, i'd like to join as an Elf, named Endril ((male and aged 22 - - on second thought that's too young! make it 42 if it's of ANY relevance)), with fire arrows, stealth, telekinesis and telepathy. Thanks for the info's, they were very helpful.
