All right here's the skinny. I'm going to post 12 catergories and then a master letter. It's your job to come up with an item that falls into each catergory that starts with the master letter. For example, if the catergory was Ice Cream Flavors and the letter was V, you could put vanilla as your answer. You want your answers to be unique though because if someone else puts the same answer as you, then neither one of you get points for that catergory. You get bonus points if your answer consists of more than one word and those words begin with the key letter. Using our above example of Ice Cream Flavors, if the key letter was R and you put Rocky Road you would get two points, provided that you are the only person who put that answer.
Sign up will end at midnight Sunday GL time and that's when I'll post the first set of 12 catergories and the master letter. You have 24 hours to E-MAIL me your list of answers.
The game consists of three rounds, whoever has high score wins.

I want to be in.
Unfortunately, I am going home for nearly 3 months.
If you DON'T think that limited Internet access will ruin this for me, then by all means put me in. I doubt that, though.

| Mackay, This is going to run starting Sunday night and should end on Wednesday night, so it will be really quick. I post the first set of catergories on Sunday night, your answers are due in before the next list posting which will be Monday at midnight, etc. for three days, so if you aren't going away until the end of the week you can still play. |

| Yes it does, sorry for leaving that out of the initial rules. Duplicate answers are not allowed. For example, if the letter R was in play and one catergory was colors you could answer Red, but that would be the only time you can put red in an answer, so if a later catergory of colors on signs you couldn't put red again. |

Err. Sorry to disappoint but given the deadlines it's unlikely that I have enough time to mull over my answers. Bluntly speaking, I want out. Would anyone be kind enough to take my place?

for #11, the book title - what are correct answers? Say the letter was R.
Is "The Shawshank Redemption" valid?
Is "the Rising" valid?
Is "The New Beautiful Rulers of Romania" worth 2 points (if it existed )?
Is "Reviews of Ronald Reagan's Roles" worth 4 points (again, if it existed)?

Ahh we can dream of the elusive four pointer can't we?
It needs to be the first word of the title. So in the example letter R
Coming by Road would not be acceptable
Road to the future would be.
Sorry to see go Xer0x, but you don't have to worry about replacements or whatever, this is a casual game, so no big deal. Maybe next time. |

Two questions:
1. For titles and the like, which leading words (if any) are ignored. For example, would The King and I be a valid K? Would "The Cat in the Cradle" be 2 points for a C?
2. How lenient are you on creative use of adjectives? |

i second kevin's question. I had included as many "the"'s (and other small words) in my titles as possible, and you did not address that point... |

Lots of answers, lets see how you did!
Here is the list again for reference:
1.) A boy's name
2.) A musical artist or band
3.) Capitals
4.) Articles of clothing
5.) Things found in the kitchen
6.) Sports
7.) Flowers
8.) Authors
9.) Things at a ball game
10.) Desserts
11.) Foods you eat with your hands
12.) Found in a gas station

8.) James Joyce James Joyce James Joyce James Joyce
9.) Jacksonville Jaguars Jerks Jacksonville Jags Jersey
10.) Jello Jigglers Johnny Cake Jubilee (cherry) Jello
11.) Junior mints Jam Sandwiches Jello Cubes Jerky
12.) Jacks Jumper cables Juice Johns

10.) Jello Jelly Just (Just desserts) Jello
11.) Jalapenos Jaffa Cakes Jalapeno Jelly Beans
12.) Jelly Bellies Jump Leads Juicy Fruit Jerry can
That makes the score:
Veg - 6
Courk - 6
Faerie - 5
Corsato - 6
CrystyB - 6
ZutAlors! - 8
Hitch - 4
Mike Goo - 8
One Skunk - 4
Kevin - 10
Duphrate - 12
Deth - 6
Quailman - 7
Now you have the opportunity to dispute answers. I like to reward creativity (like J and just desserts), but some things are a bit of a stretch (Jennifer Lopez T-shirt, and I don't think Jumping Jack Flash is a band or artist). SO these scores depend on you, as a player you can question any answers that got points or were knocked out of your list. If the majority votes to drop one of your answers it's gone, so argue well. I need the second list answers by midnight.
*answer from above that was too big for grid John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt. I wouldn't dispute it, cause hey, that's my name too.
