How did my F BEL support get cut? I don't see how this works, as no Persian units attacked that territory.

Still , I'm afraid.

It seemed to me that a 3 vs. 1 against Sag, coupled with a 2 vs. 1 against Bal would result in a Sag-Bal move for Carthage - losing Sag, but regaining Bal.

It's the 'cut' of F BER that puzzles me - there was no enemy action against F BER.

But it ( F BER) wasn't dislodged, so how can it have its support cut? I thought that support only failed when a unit was itself dislodged.

Then if the support wasn't cut, my move to Bal should have worked, shouldn't it? F Sag, plus support vs. one unit, unsupported? I know F Sag was coming under a lot of fire from the carpet-selling brigade, but...

You don't have to dislodge to cut support. Basically, the Sad unit distracted the BER unit.

Anyway, if I'd wanted, I could've supported with my BAL unit. I just didn't because I knew I didn't need to.

XI. Cutting Support
If a unit ordered to support in a given space is attacked from a space different from the one into which it is giving support or is dislodged by an attack from any space (including the one into which it is giving support), then its support is "cut." The unit that was to have received that support then does not receive it.
