D'artagnon was the fourth musketeer (and my next stumper). I had in mind Alexander Dumas, who wrote the story. Unless, of course, if the story was told in the voice of D'artagnon. This I do not know.

Ah well, new stumper: Did you portray Spiderman's love interest?

Hmm...I thought you meant the author at first, but when I re-read the question, i thought you were pulling a fast one and looked upon it as a character narrating the tales, as in Frankenstein. I couldn't remember the authors name anyway , so it's all irrelevent. Take a General.

Group thinking ahead, no questions

'Pop' music is still a rather wide field, as it can conceivably include jazz, big band, ballroom, musical and what have you. The guy was an instrumentalist, which could hint at jazz (not necessarily). ANybody know famous jazz musicians that fit the answers so far?

DP: He played an instrument, but might have also sung. I just asked about the only D jazz musician I could think of, and he's not from England and he has not been dead that long. I googled and found the founder of British Pop music, a D name, who just passed away last November.

Miles Davis was correct.
